Class History Speech

To our Principal, Mrs. Charity B. Estardo, PMI Senior High School Faculty and Staff,
guests, friends, good evening!
What can you expect from 48 human beings with different personalities and clashing
perspectives forced to mix and stay inside two classrooms for 8 hours a day, 5 times a week in a
span of 2 years? Well, some would say it’s chaotic, or barbaric like a scene from Apocalypto…
But I would like to describe it as a Beautiful Catastrophe.
Allow me to introduce myself, I’m Tranx Joseph Pateno, the most behave student of the
PMI SHS Dept. I’m here tonight to walk with you down to memory lane, to look back on the
wonderful times and jaw – dropping moments that we spent for the last two years of our lives.
“Introduce yourself!” that statement from the teacher sparked excitement as we get
butterflies in our stomach. That was our chance on the spotlight. Well, I already scanned my
new classmates from my seat, but to stand there in front of everybody was a totally different
thing. Mag uwaw-uwaw pa kintahay, pabebe kaau mu introduce nya lain raba gyud kaau
tanawn. As I look unto your faces maka ingun gyud kog payter kaau mog mga nawng, naa pay
hairstyle nga pang way back 1990’s, parehas ni Roger hangtud rn gasige lang gihapon ug
chicken hair. But those faces are hidden with amazing abilities and talents. I never expected
much of this batch kay lagi halos tanan laki nya ambot lang kaha ug magkademao ba, but I was
wrong it really proves to expect the unexpected.
I still remember our first week of being classmates, lipay kaau ang taga alvas
adto kay kada udto mapuno ilang restaurant, eating lunch together at alvas was our first bond,
the generosity of each other was our stepping stone to build a real friendship. Having alias and
nicknames was our way to get to know with each other such as chief, choilee, pogi, boki, doi,
and many more na even today we still call with it to each other. Boys are boys no plastics,
prangka kaau musturya, grabeg kabuang, and most of the time bullies. But it is so proud to say
that we do have long patience, way mapikon, pildi ang malagot, and wala gyud poy nag
sumbagay. And sa mga bae pd na mga payter kaau, you are one of a kind girls in the world, ni fit
in mo in a class full of boys. I really do admire your attitudes, walay kusog mag yawyaw, sipsip,
and arte, lahi ra kaau mos uban that’s a realtalk.
In the middle of our first year being together we were doing good in our
academic performances, we helped a lot with each other. We don’t leave anyone behind, we
even share our answers. Aw hehe sorry. But the thought of helping with each other makes us
more eager to perform well and do good in school. And in terms of sports, all of us were so
called basketballers, it is so proud to say that all of us are physically fit. Especially ni Pergie
Tompong a.k.a tot, tong, brage, skustapong, raffy tumpong that will represent PMI in the sport
of weightlifting in the upcoming PRISAA. A round of applause please.
Do you still remember our classmates who didn’t survived? Sila Jumang-it,
Requirme, Maturan, Guingguing, Magallanes, Kuya, and Langbid. Let’s pray for their souls and
minds to be enlightened nga unta malamposon ang ilang kinabuhi.
Our journey was like a blink of an eye. Dali ra kaau ang panghitabo murag
gahapon pa ta nagkaila. I never regret enrolling in this school, it is a pleasure to meet and get to
know you my classmates and teachers
