Introduction

The impact of online class of the students during the pandemic covid-19 crisis is to

determine the learning outcomes of students who participated in the blended learning course.

Online learning helps to eliminate borders and barriers, both social and physical. Online courses

ae great solution to the challenges that these people face as they provided with high-quality

education and on their own place and time. In this study, interactive activities such as teacher-

student interaction, student-student interaction, student-content interaction, and student-

technology interaction.

Moreover, online education enables the teachers and the students to set their own learning

pace, and there’s the added flexibility of setting a schedule that fits everyone’s agenda. But there

are challenges to overcome, some students without reliable internet access and/or technology

struggle to participate in digital learning.

The impact of online class to the student during the COVID 19 pandemic

As we were facing the COVID 19 pandemic, our educational system is also facing a huge

problem on how to educate students. One of the things they want implement was an alternative

way of learning and teaching. And most of knows that not everyone has the capacity to learn in

such ways. It is not just by how teacher delivers their lessons but how the students can access

those technologies to be able to participate in class or online class. In this research, we will be

able to learn how many students has the capacity to be able to learn through online classes. How

many students agrees that this kind of learning system would be their new normal. And in this

research, we will answer how online classed or this alternative learning system will be able to

help the students in the future.

6
However, we all know this pandemic change our norms, our way of life the way we

perceive thigs etc., and it is the same to of educational system. It became havoc when this

pandemic came. Traditional classes close, how many months has been before the teacher came to

light to give modules to their student to cope up to the lessons that they miss. And with this, this

E-Learning has a disadvantage to students who don’t have the capacity to old to accessible

materials, and students who were literally in capable of using one or a computer illiterate person.

Being a student who has no way of getting such materials for E-learning has huge burden

to them. Some student may think that buying laptop, wi-fi and such may be burden to their

family specially to student who is not financially stable. Some may think that E-learning is cool,

you can study on your own convenient time, you don’t necessarily go to school and you don’t

need to spend in things such as fare going to school, photo copy cause the teacher ill just sent

you your modules or whole week lessons etc. which is became unnecessary because you are in

an E-Learning.

The traditional classroom has given an immediate face to face feedback, which in E-

Learning or Online class may became seldom or sometimes none. The student may have

problems about the curriculum which can resolve quickly and directly during the lecture or

during the delicate office hours. Personalize feedback has a positive impact to students, as it

makes the learning process easier, richer and more significant while raising the motivational

levels of the students. On the other hand, E- Learning still tends to struggle with student

feedback. Student completing regular assessments became dissatisfied when they experience

lack of personalized feedback. The traditional method of providing student feedback don’t

always work in an E-Learning environment, and because of this online education provides are

forces to look towards alternative methods for providing feedback.

7
Online classes its own advantages and disadvantages, online classes are great alternative

in times like this, when no one has able to go out because of the high risk of being infected to the

virus.

This study not only report that online learning is good in the midst of COVID-19

pandemic but also spotted the light on the availability of internet access, financial issue, and

online implementation. At the learners’ condition in terms of financial issue, they hope that

lectures make use of facilities such as free Messenger application in Online Learning System. In

the light of the availability of internet access, they said that individual task is better to keep the

distance physically due to pandemic, they need group tasks to help friends who do not have an

internet pulse and access. About the implementation, they hope that material and assignment

must be preceded by explanation. Thus, they recommended that Voice Note will be effectively

used when giving instruction. It implied that the material and instruction implemented by the

lecturer in the online learning were not easy to use.

Virtually all elementary, K-12 and colleges students in the Philippines are currently

missing face to face interaction due to COVID-19 pandemic. Many parents and educators thus

share a commonly worry: When the pandemic subsides, kids will turn to school with lower

achievement. There are also concerns that the gap high and low achieving students will become

larger.

Definition of Terms

COVID-19- is a disease caused by a new strain of coronavirus. ‘CO’ stands for corona,

‘VI’ for virus, and coronavirus disease 2019 is potentially severe respiratory illness caused by
a coronavirus and characterized by fever, coughing, and shortness of breath.
Online Class- is a course conducted over the Internet. They are generally conducted
through a learning management system, in which students can view their course syllabus and
academic progress, as well as communicate with fellow students and their course instructor. The
students and the teacher interact online in this type of learning. In this form of learning the

students take a course from the teacher without physically visiting an actual classroom

with him. Both of them communicate and learn the courses online even if they are on the

same premise. Though students can use offline materials like paper to send their response

they are connected with their teacher through an internet connection only. They can send

the picture of their response online to their teacher.

Impact -refer to a physical force (like a collision), an influence (a bad role model or a
hero), or a strong effect (a foot of snow will have an impact on driving conditions).

Students- a learner who is enrolled in an educational institution or a person formally

engaged in learning, especially one enrolled in a school or college; pupil: a student at Yale.

School has its roots in the Greek skhole. That word originally had the sense of “leisure,”
which evolved into a “place for discussion,” so you can see how school came to have its modern
meaning. School, as in "school of thought," can describe a group of people bonded together by
shared principles. The phrase "school of hard knocks" is slang for “rough experience in
life.” School also refers to a large group of fish that swim together.

Teacher: a person who teaches or instructs, especially as a profession; instructor.

11
Internet- a vast computer network linking smaller computer networks worldwide
(usually preceded by the). The Internet includes commercial, educational, governmental, and
other networks, all of which use the same set of communications protocols.

REVIEW OF RELATED LITERATURE AND STUDIES

This chapter presents the related literature and studies after the thorough and in-depth search done by the

researchers. This will also present the synthesis of the art, theoretical and conceptual framework to fully understand

the research to be done and lastly the definition of terms for better comprehension of the study.

Despite the enormous growth of online class in education and its perceived benefits, the

efficiency of such tools will not be fully utilized if the users inclined to not accept and use the

system. Therefore, the successful implementation of online class tools depends on whether or not

the students are willing to adopt and accept the technology. Thus, it has become imperative for

practitioners and policy makers to understand the factors affecting the user acceptance of web-

based learning systems in order to enhance the students’ learning experience (Tarhini et al.,

2014a). However, recent studies have shown that e-learning implementation is not simply a

technological solution, but also a process of many different factors such as social factors

(Schepers and Wetzels, 2007; Tarhini et al., 2014b; 2015), and individual factors (Liaw and

Huang, 2011), organizational such as facilitating conditions (Sun and Zhang, 2006) in addition to

behavioural and cultural factors (Masoumi, 2010).Such major factors play an important role in

how an information technology is developed and used (Kim and Moore, 2005)
