Dear Ma’am Mendoza,

Greetings of Peace!
The Department of Education (DepEd) issues the enclosed Gender-Responsive Basic Education
Policy in line with its Gender and Development (GAD) mandate as stipulated in the 1987 Philippine
Constitution, Republic Act (RA) No. 9710 or the Magna Carta of Women (MCW), RA 10533 or
the Enhanced Basic Education Act of 2013, and the Philippines’ International Human Rights
Commitments to the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR), Convention on the Elimination
of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW), and the Convention on the Rights of the
Child (CRC) among others.

In line with this, Las Piñas City National Senior Highschool – Manuyo Uno Campus will be having a
program on Gender and Development (GAD). We are cordially inviting you as a resource speaker and
talk about your expertise on mental health and resiliency during pandemic times for our parents and
students. We strongly believe that your wisdom, knowledge, experiences will be of significant help to
all of us, more so to our recipients as well.

Schedule set will be on November 5, 2020, 8AM. It will be held through FB Live via Stream Yard.
The target participants/attendees are parents and senior high school students. The basic and vital
purpose of this event is to enhance mental health awareness and their resiliency during this Covid 19
pandemic.

We are looking forward for the success of this event, your support and favorable confirmation to this
