Chronological time of the movie 1981
Plot Beginning:
In 1981, Arthur Fleck (Joaquin Phoenix) works as a paid clown
and lives with his sick mother, Penny (Frances Conroy), in
Gotham City. The city collapses under unemployment, crime
and financial ruin, leaving segments of the population deprived
of their rights and impoverished. Arthur suffers from a
neurological disorder that makes him laugh at inappropriate
times, and regularly visits a social services worker to get his
medication. After a group of street youths attacked him in an
alley, Arthur's coworker Randall (Glenn Fleshler) lends him a
weapon to protect himself. Arthur also meets Sophie (Zazie
Beetz), a single mother who lives in a neighboring apartment,
and invites her to her comedy routine.
While working on entertaining children in a children's hospital,
Arthur's gun falls out of his pocket. Arthur is fired for this
infraction; Randall lies saying that Arthur bought the gun
himself. During his usual trip back home on the subway, Arthur
is beaten by three drunken businessmen from Wayne Enterprises
before he shoots two of them in self-defense and executes the
remaining. The murders involuntarily begin a protest movement
against the Gotham rich, with protesters wearing clown masks
imitating the image of the unidentified killer. Later, Arthur
learns that the funding cuts require the closure of the social
service program, leaving him without access to his medication.

Knot: That night, Sophie attends Arthur's comedy routine,

which is going wrong; He laughs uncontrollably and has a hard
time making jokes. A popular TV show host, Murray Franklin
(Robert De Niro), mocks Arthur by showing fragments of the
routine on his show. Later, Arthur intercepts a letter written by
Penny to the local billionaire and mayoral candidate Thomas
Wayne (Brett Cullen), claiming that he is Thomas's illegitimate
son, and scolds his mother for hiding the truth from him. Arthur
goes to Wayne Manor to get answers, where he meets Thomas's
son, Bruce (Dante Pereira-Olson). After an argument with
Alfred Pennyworth (Douglas Hodge), the family's butler, Arthur
flees. Shortly after a visit by two Gotham City Police
Department detectives investigating Arthur's involvement in the
train murders, Penny suffers a heart attack and is hospitalized.
At a public event, Arthur confronts Thomas, who tells him that
Penny, who worked briefly as a maid in the Wayne mansion, is
mentally unstable and not his biological mother. Denying,
Arthur visits Arkham State Hospital and steals the file from
Penny's case, discovering that he was adopted after being
abandoned when he was a baby and that Penny was negligent,
which allowed her boyfriend to physically abuse Arthur when he
was very young , causing serious head trauma. Distressed,
Arthur goes to the hospital and kills Penny before returning
home and entering Sophie's apartment without warning.
Frightened, Sophie tells her to leave and it is revealed that her
previous encounters were only part of Arthur's delusions.

Ending: Arthur is invited to make a special appearance on

Murray's show due to the unexpected popularity of his routine
clips. While he puts on makeup and dresses, his former co-
workers Gary (Leigh Gill) and Randall visit him to comfort him
of his recent loss. But Arthur assassinates Randall for cheating
on him and for his cause being fired from his job, but lets Gary
go unharmed for treating Arthur well in the past. On the way to
the studio, Arthur, after going down dancing the stairs next to
his house, is chased by the two detectives in a subway full of
protesters with clown masks. One of the detectives accidentally
shoots a protester inciting the mob to try to lynch them while
Arthur escapes the chaos.
Before the show begins, Arthur asks Murray to present him as
"Joker" ("Joker" in Latin America), a reference to Murray's
previous mockery. Arthur goes out to a warm reception, but
begins to tell morbid jokes, admits that he killed the men on the
train and rant about how society abandoned him and made fun
of him. Arthur, then, murders Murray with a shot causing panic
in the spectators and riots in Gotham, which explode as a
favorable response to the live murder. One of the troublemakers
cornered the Wayne family in an alley and murdered Thomas
and his wife Martha, except Bruce (something that in the comics
is the beginning of the story of who Batman will be).
Meanwhile, a group of troublemakers in an ambulance collide
with the police car that transported Arthur and released him.
Arthur, wounded by the impact, joins to witness that he is hailed
as a hero by the crowd; he, without revealing his feeling,
responds with a dance to his cheers on the hood of the patrol car
 that guarded him, and a smile is made with his own blood while
crying.
As an epilogue, Arthur is seen locked in the Arkham asylum.
Laughing to himself of a joke that came to mind, his psychiatrist
asks him to tell him; He replies that she wouldn't understand.
Subsequently, Arthur can be seen walking down the corridors of
the asylum, leaving a trail of bloody tracks behind him.

feel? S4. The movie made me feel like a person who pays little
interest to other people who need our help since they have
mental problems. It teaches me that it is still essential to educate
ourselves on the subject to educate others, take care of our
psychological and emotional health, go to a professional if it is
suspected that someone close to us begins to have some unusual
thoughts or behaviors of natural behavior.

Given the different problems that the protagonist had since his
birth, his behavior was affected, causing problems in his mental
health. It would seem important to me that the protagonist was
accepted in society and help him understand his illness in order
to cure it.
