Activity 4: Learner Group Targeted Intervention

The document describes targeted interventions that could be developed to help include different groups of learners in distance learning during the COVID-19 crisis. It lists several learner groups that may require special consideration, such as learners without home support, beginning readers, struggling readers, those without devices/internet access, those in inaccessible areas, and indigenous peoples. For each group, it provides examples of interventions like online learning with teacher assistance, parent tutoring, group tutoring, modular learning, and home visitation while observing health protocols, to help include them in participating in distance learning.

ACTIVITY 4

The LCP assures that all possible measures will be taken to ensure that no child will be excluded
from learning during the COVID-19 crisis. Think about groups of learners in your School/Division
who might require special consideration to be able to participate in DL. Describe what targeted
interventions you would develop to include them. Listed below are some examples which may be
relevant to your context. Add others as appropriate. Write down your answers in your Study
Notebook and share your ideas at your next LAC Session.
