One Point Lesson

Objective: Demonstrated how to download massive data using ZSE16 tables and
show in appendix section which are the common table we could use

Process Step by Step

1. Use the transaction ZSE16 to show available tables that storage the master data from different
transactions in boxes such G11 and *6P.

2. Write the table name and click in button

By default SAP assign some fields to be used as filter for the reporting need as it is shown in the next
image; however each table has different fields depending of the group of mater data so other fields can
be used.

 3. To select other fields to be used as filter, go to Settings and then click on Fields For selection

4. Also in Settings in the User Parameters selection it shows some important features to configure
to use tables.

 a) Maximum No of Hit – This will be the number of rows the report will display – clear entries from
this field.
b) Radio buttons in the Output list section will show the way the information appears once the
report is generated. It depends of the user which is friendlier to use. By defaults it is SE16
standard list.
c) On Keyword section Field Name will show short names of the fields and Field Label will show the
long description of the field.

5. To include more than one value in a field lets use this example:
In the material field selecting the option for multiple selections marked in red below and then click the

button to copy your materials and then click on button . It is normally the most common Key field
used for reporting but you can use any other filed in the table.

Watchouts:

 Do not use Control-V functionality from the Keyboard while you are on the cell list below – Use
button . If you use Control-V this will only paste information in the first cells.
 SAP will display an error if you include more than 5000 values in the cell list.

 To delete the list of values use button

 6. After click on Execute button it will show the report

7. If only it is needed to show specific fields (columns) go to settings and select Format
List and Choose Fields.

 8. To download to Excel, right click, select Download option and then select
Spreadsheet option. Then in the directory text box clicks to look for the location to
save the file.
