    With 300 mJ primary energy, the new MIC3+ series provides a reliable combustion
    on engines up to 12 cylinders even with weakest or fluctuating caloric values of the
    gas. Next to high variable ignition energy (MOST*) an accurate spark timing and
    diversified online diagnostics help to improve engine efficiency, spark plug life and
    availability of the equipment under the strictest emission regulations.

    MOTORTECH HIGH PERFORMANCE SPARK PLUGS
MOTORTECHʼs MHP spark plug is fitted with a double iridium alloy and an extra-long
ceramic insulator to achieve highest life times both in special gas operation and in
engines with high compression pressures.

    DetCon20
           MOTORTECH DETONATION CONTROL SYSTEM
    The DetCon20 control device offers complete protection for gas engines with 2 to
    20 cylinders. Microprocessor-controlled, it detects any knocking in the early stage
    and sends an analog signal (4 to 20 mA/0 to 5 V) to the ignition system to shift
    the ignition timing to “retard” in a linear function. A signal for load reduction or,
    ultimately, a stop signal is sent to the engine controller if the knocking cannot be
    eliminated. CAN Bus Interface included.
    Function
    Once the controller detects soft detonation on one of the
    sensors (this is a specific stage before real detonation
    occurs), several steps will take place:                                                 Detonation Sensor
                                                                                            Can be installed on cylinder head srew
     	 Alarm signal turns on                                                                or stud. Measures the detonation signal
                                                                                            and transfers it to the
     	 Ignition retard by 0 to 5 V or
                                                                                            controller.
       4 to 20 mA analog output.
     	 If this action does not cure the
       detonation, the load reduction
       output will be activated.
     	 If the load drop does not stop the
       engine from detonating the engine
       STOP output will be activated.

                                                                                            ator to analyze all data in real time on

Sensor Systems
Sensor Harnesses
MOTORTECH sensor harnesses are individually designed
for use on MAN gas engines. The harnesses are completely
prewired and equipped with all sensors required to measure
the relevant operating data of the engine. To transfer the mea-
sured values to the engine control, a matching connecting
harness is plugged to the main connector of the sensor
harness.
