BLOG (MASS MEDIA TEXT)

THESIS-DRIVEN BLOG: as this kind of blog entry is at a more complex level, it could focus on
a specific topic rather than a series of events.

if you choose to write a topic-based blog, it is also important to write about an issue that interest
you; one that you have some passion for. It is also important to have a clear point of view. This
will give your blog a focus.

A thesis-driven blog is likely to contain more descriptive details than an essay because it is a
more personal form of writing. You may not be chatty but you surely need to describe your
reflections.

THESIS-DRIVEN BLOG

BLOG Bloggers often write because they have a particular point of

ENTRY view that they wish to get across to the public. In that respect,
a blog can be like an essay. Therefore, this kind of blog may
use the same conventions. A thesis-driven blog can be much
more informative or opinionated.

FOCUS Ideas and opinions

ORGANIZATION A reasoned argument

OPENING Thesis / main idea.

MAIN PARAGRAPHS Ideas to support your main idea: point, examples, and
explanations with reflections.
ENDING Final thoughts, conclusión and reflections.
