INTRODUCTION
Most of the people in this world like to travel from one place to
another no matter whether it is a small or large distance. Some
people like to travel by train, flight, bus or by any other means of
transport.
This project contains the synopsis of a website designed on Travel &
Tourism. This will be one of the interesting projects that one can
work on and implement in real time world. Some of the features of
the website are as follows:-

 This website provides a user friendly interface and is


compatible with all web browsers.

 A user can easily understand and use this website.

 The ‘travel and tourism system’ will help the customers to


book the air tickets or the railway tickets through this
application of the travel agency.

 The user interface is simple and easy to understand.


OBJECTIVE
 This travel and tourism application is designed for the
travel agency in which there is an option of doing the
railway or air ticket reservation in order to reach the
intended destination.

 The main objective of this project is that booking of


tickets will be done with a great ease and without any
difficulty.

 This application will help in accessing the information


relating to travel to a particular destination easily.

 It will provide the users with useful and timely travel and


tourism information.

 This “TRAVEL & TOURISM MANAGEMENT SYSTEM” will


provide all the information about:-
 Hotel Accommodation and pre and post excursion
options.
 Must do activities and must see attractions.

 Shopping tips and entertainment features.

SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS :-

 Software requirements for this project are

 Operating System: Windows XP, 95 or 98


 VB  Visual Basic programming
 Oracle Database Server

 Hardware requirements for this project are

 Display type: Standard VGA or SVGA card


 Hard Disk capacity: Minimum Requirement 80 GB
 System should have 2 GB Ram
 Processor: Celtron 500 MHZ or any PENTIUM processor

 PROGRAMMING LANGUAGES USED:

 Technology                                : Java and J2ee


 Web Technologies                    : Html, JavaScript, CSS
 Database                                    : MySql

 MODULES USED ARE AS FOLLOWS:


 Administrator module:

The administrator can add, delete, modify and view the data related
to places, travels, routes, bookings, restaurants etc.

 Reservations module:

This module will give the information related to the tickets that are
booked or reserved to reach the destination.

 Testimonials module:

This module can post their opinions, feedback or suggestions related


to the application.

 Address Module:

This module will show the particular address of the administrator


on map on the website.

 
DATA FLOW DIAGRAM
CONCLUSION

 Any tourist Agency can make use of it for saving customer


details in database.

 We can add new features as and when we require.

 Admin can have his own homepage.

 Keeping the track of bookings and reservations is easily


managed.

 Reusability of this application is also possible.
