Diversity Wheel
Activity

By going through the diversity
dimension wheel, I would like to
select these following 3
dimensions that have impacted
my life and are as follows:
1. Race
2. Education
3. Thinking Style
First Dimension according to me
will be of course Race. It is
obvious to anyone that we all
have different physical features
and are distributed widely
around the globe by
geographical regions. Race can
also be a means of enriching
everyone’s learning process that
is when we seek out people
whom we perceive as being
different from ourselves. It is a
simple way of grouping and
distinguishing individuals based
on geographical origins and
physical characteristics, such as
skin colour, hair texture, and
facial form. Race is, in reality, a
solely social construct and has
no biological meaning. The racial
classification of individuals by
these features, however, has
become a global phenomenon
and access to social benefits
depends on the role of a group in
a socially constructed racial
hierarchy.
The Second dimension I would
like to state that has impacted
my life most is the Education.
Education is the foremost and
plays an important role in
everyone’s life. It provides a
stable life and a great job with a
good social reputation that are
few of the many benefits of
being an educated person. It
helps individuals become
financially independent and also
makes wiser so that you can
make your own decisions.
Education prevents people from
being manipulated and fooled,
since it is easier to take
advantage of innocent and
illiterate people. They can be
trapped easily in signing false
papers or stripped of whatever
right they have because, unlike
an educated individual, their
rights and independence are not
well respected. Thus, being an
individual person and being self
independent, it all comes from
good education and this good
education plays a very positive
impact in making the person's
behaviours towards others too.
Similarly, the thinking style is
based upon the Education of an
Individual. Therefore, I think the
Education has made me what I
am today as of now. According to
me Good education is the only
thing that makes a individual a
good human and I personally
believe family also plays very
crucial role in educating their
own child which builds up a good
behaviour towards the society of
the people and allowing to
setting up the standards of life
which will provide knowledge to
understand the results of wrong
decisions and will help in finding
the alternate solutions for the
same.
