Health and Hygiene Activities Report

1) Villar Integrated School conducted a One Health Week activity from January 20-23, 2020 to promote student health and nutrition. 2) Activities included teaching handwashing techniques, providing school feeding, distributing iron supplements, deworming medication, waste management education, and personal hygiene instruction. 3) Over two days, all students from kindergarten to grade 9 participated in the various health sessions led by their teachers and advisers.

1. To promote clean and safe school environment and correct hygiene and sanitation
practices among learners.
2. To generate information on the health and nutrition among learners.
3. To raise awareness about the benefits of handwashing with soap as a key approach to
disease prevention.
4. To promote and ensure the proper and effective personal hygiene.

PART 2
NARRATIVE REPORT

1. Introduction/Rationale/Objectives

Pursuant to DepEd Order No. 28 s. 2018 titled “Policy and Guidelines on Oplan Kalusugan sa
DepEd” and Office of Undersecretary for Administration (OUA) Memo 08-0120-0571 Memorandum
entitled conduct of Various Activities for Oplan Kalusugan sa Department of Education (OK sa
DepEd) that all public schools nationwide are encouraged to observe the Ok sa DepEd One Health
Week focusing on Health and Nutrtion Education specifically the School-Based Feeding Program
(SBFP), National Drug Education Program (NDEP), Adolescent Reproductive Health Education
(ARH), Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) in Schools (WinS) and Medical, Dental, and
Nursing Services. All schools are expected to conduct the One Health Week promoting a set of health
activities focusing on Health and Nutritopn Education.

Villar Integrated School participated this activity on the 21 st to 22nd day of January 2020 lead
by the advisers of each grade level while the School Principal Mrs. Aida G. Badar monitors the
synchronized activity.

The Table below is the schedule of Villar Integrated School One Health Week Activity.

On 1st day of activity, January 21, 2020, 8:00am to 9:30am started handwashing
activity. All teachers and students were participated the said activity from Kinder to Grade 9
using the 8 steps of handwashing with the help of handwashing materials and advisers who
demonstrated the proper handwashing technique. Afterthat Feeding program was held with
advisers and feeding coordinator.

On 2nd day of activity at 8:00 am, Mrs. Sharon [Link] (TeacherI), started the
orientation about Iron Folic Acid Supplementation for female students of Grade 7 to Grade 9.
Next activity was the orientation and film showing about Harmful Drug Awareness Program
to all parents. On the afternoon at 1:00pm, advisers from Kinder to Grade 9 conducted an
orientation of proper Waste Management Sanitation then followed by Personal Hygiene
Orientation.

The two consecutive days help the learners to be aware about the importance of
Health and Nutrition Education. This year OK sa DepEd has been a great success and end
with full of learning to all students of Villar Integrated School.
