While there is no one size fits all in poultry farm cleaning and
disinfection protocols, flock health is highly dependent on
promoting and maintaining and clean environment. ANOVET®

cleaning being an important prior routine to any disinfection

GENERAL OUTDOOR SITE DISINFECTION

For proper site biosecurity, keeping the vicinity of paths and areas
around poultry houses clean and free of litter removes potential
sources of infection. Additionally, these areas can be sprayed with a
lower dose of 5% ANOVET® diluted in clean water for some added
mild level disinfection benefits.

Foot & vehicle tire baths can be prepared at 15% dilution, with foot
baths being changed regularly to retain efficacy and avoid
contamination.
GENERAL INDOOR SITE DISINFECTION
For indoor site biosecurity, disinfection of surfaces after cleaning
can be applied through low pressure sprayers on all walls, ceilings,
valves, starting from the rear of the house and working up to the
door; while paying attention to cracks and corners.

Fogging after surface cleaning and disinfection eliminates airborne

pathogens while also covering a wide surface area and potential
treatment gaps in surface disinfection. ANOVET® requires no PPE
in fogging and is a healthier more natural alternative to traditional
fumigation in poultry houses for both flock and site labor, while
additionally suppressing dust & allergens and deodorization.

INDOOR AERIAL DISINFECTION
Once a poultry house is restocked, aerial disinfection with
ANOVET® can be used as often as required with no negative side
effects or necessary waiting period.

Misting 5% ANOVET® through an automated system once or twice

a day is enough to maintain a reduced level of pathogens and
prevent infection.

FEED STORAGE & ADDITION
Treating poultry feed with ANOVET® promotes higher feed efficacy
by killing pathogens and reducing mycotoxic load, starting with
fogging feed storages to prevent and eliminate any growth at 15%
dilution 1-3 times per week.

Direct treatment on feed can be used through 15 ml of

concentrated - per 1 KG of chicken feed. Spray directly and mix
manually in bowls or feeding troughs.
HATCHERY & EGG DISINFECTION
A CCP (Critical Control Point) in the production chain and key to
fostering healthy and viable DOCs (day old chicks), egg cleaning &
disinfection practices are increasingly emphasized to prevent
contamination further affecting hatching from early embryonic or
DOC mortality, yolk infection, to adversely affecting the early health
of hatched chicks.

This microbial contamination can be transmitted from a wide variety

of sources, whether transovarian or through pathogens penetrating
the immature egg shell cuticle from sources within the hatchery
including air, water, or egg handling.

ANOVET® offers a broad spectrum solution for egg disinfection

covering both gram +ve & -ve bacteria and moulds, while being
safe, non residual, and non corrosive including to metals.

ANOVET® can be applied through traditional methods of dipping,

spraying directly, and fogging both the eggs and hatchery for good
onsite hygiene.

Immediate egg cleaning & disinfection is important to prevent

microbial penetration and activity within the egg before it takes
place. Once microbial activity has taken place inside the shell, it
cannot be reversed through sanitation practices.

WATER SYSTEM DISINFECTION & DRINKING

WATER ADDITION
Prior to disinfection, the water system should be drained and
cleaned out then filled with clean water. Adding 1:1000 of
ANOVET® (without flushing after) offers an added protection in
drinking water eliminating contaminants and preventing biofilm
build up.

Avoid dosing disinfectant in water and preferably flush out before

applying any live vaccines within drinking water, as active
disinfection would interfere with vaccine efficacy.

For clean water with no added active disinfection benefits, ask us

about ANOSAN TW®. A cost effective, lower OXI water disinfectant
suitable for all water systems & features, with no flushing required
upon treatment.
