English Project Templade: Why You Develop It and The Its Background)

This document provides a template for an English project on recycling plastic bottles. It includes sections for the topic, introduction, justification, specific objectives, theoretical framework, development, conclusions, and recommendations. The introduction discusses the environmental impacts of plastic waste, while the justification explains that recycling plastic saves energy and resources compared to producing new plastic. The theoretical framework covers the benefits of recycling and the plastic bottle recycling process. The project aims to show how plastic bottles can be recycled into decorative items and reduce pollution.

ENGLISH PROJECT TEMPLADE

TOPIC: (Write the name of your project)

PRELIMINARY SECTION: (Detail the importance of the project, the reasons

why you develop it and the its background).

Introduction.
At present, the use of plastic products has increased due to the various
applications it has, when creating materials from plastic, certain properties can be added
since, due to versatility, malleability and being inert, plastic is used for a without end of
products, however, the exponential use of plastic has also created a series of problems
that revolve around the management of solid waste, since products from plastic, as they
are not biodegradable, pose a greater problem compared to organic waste.
Plastic waste related to the environment causing an irreversible impact on
biodiversity since, according to the ONG Plastic Pollution Coalition, plastic waste kills
more than a million seabirds, which is why the maritime ecosystem is at risk, while
plastics are degraded and released chemicals used during the manufacture of these
products, the same ones that pose a risk to the environment in general, affecting the
quality of life of those who are exposed to these chemicals.
The recycling and reuse of plastic materials preserves the environment, thanks to
actions like these, it is possible to reduce the amount of plastic waste that causes
damage to the environment, the benefits of recycling are several, for example it allows
us to save energy, as well as helps to avoid the overexploitation of natural resources, it
is important not only to think about ourselves but also about tomorrow. Many times we
may think that the issue of recycling implies an investment of money or time, but it is
because we are not informed and many times we do not know the benefits of recycling.
This project will address the recycling and reuse of plastic bottles, for which we
have decided to make decorative items, with this we also want to show that recycling is
an excellent alternative to preserve the environment, it is also available to everyone, we
will observe how what commonly called waste are actually materials with which we can
make new products.
Justification.
The main reason to recycle plastic is because its waste takes between 100 and
1,000 years to degrade. The charcoal and the plastic it is made from do not dissolve. If
we recycle plastic, we will be consuming less amounts of raw materials and non-
renewable energy and natural resources. This way we avoid that these are exhausted.
Plastic accounts for more than 12% of the amount of municipal solid waste. And their
accumulation is a serious problem for the planet. In addition, if we use recycled
products, it reduces energy consumption. That translates into less CO2 emissions into
the atmosphere. Every kilo of recycled plastic means that 1.5 kg of CO2 is no longer
expelled. This is how we help reduce the greenhouse effect. And speaking of energy.
Plastic has more heat capacity than coal or wood.
Finally, we must take responsibility not only to recycle, but also to promote the
consumption of non-packaged products and bet on those products and companies that
use easily reusable plastics.

Specific Objectives.
- Show that through recycling and reuse of plastic bottles we can make
decorative items.
- Preserve the environment and reduce the pollution caused by the waste we
generate at home.
- Learn about the recycling process of a plastic bottle.

THEORETICAL FRAMEWORK:

Nowadays, all people and especially those of the first world, have become so
consumerist, that is, we buy without the need for such an object, and what we
produce by not using it is pollution. All the things that we buy, whether in a
market, the things that come to us from orders or the foods that are packaged
produce waste such as cardboard, glass, bottles and plastics, which has a
duration of approximately 1000 years to decompose.

This is why measures such as recycling have been taken. Which consists of a
process by which waste is converted into new products, or used for reuse in new
uses.

Benefits of recycling.

Recycling has multiple uses, among them are:

- It allows to save energy significantly.

- Recycling helps to avoid the exploitation of natural resources.

- Methods of extraction of natural resources, which are invasive and polluting,

are avoided.
- Pollution is reduced, providing a cleaner atmosphere.

- The amount of solid waste that reaches landfills is reduced.

Recycling of plastic bottles.

Plastic is a non-biodegradable material, which takes over 200 years to degrade

when released into nature. The plastic recycling process consists of collecting it,
making a selection and classifying it. Later it is cleaned and chopped to finally
proceed to melt it.
This will then be used as a raw material in the manufacture of new plastic
objects. Now, this is the process that is done to recycle a bottle, for later use.

1. The recyclable plastic bottles are thrown into the yellow container to be
recycled.

2. The trucks from the recycling plants collect the bottles and take them to each
plant.

3. The bottles are pressed and large blocks are formed.

4. Bottles are washed, their labels removed, dried, and classified according to the
type of plastic and what it is going to be used for.

5. The bottles are crushed into small pieces and washed and dried again.

6. Now like this, in flakes, what do you do with the recycled plastic from the
bottles? Well, they are beginning to be used in a new manufacturing process for
products such as new plastic bottles, containers, textile fibers, clothing such as
polar linings, toys, and so on. (Green Line, 2018)

DEVELOPMENT: (Include the process and steps that you followed in order to
develop the project).

CONCLUSIONS:
In this project, we can conclude the following:
- By recycling and reusing plastic products we contribute to reducing solid
waste that damages the environment, therefore we achieve the preservation
of our environment.
- Recycling is very important for the preservation of the environment
recycling can greatly improve the condition of our planet and have a better
lifestyle.
- It can be used in multiple ways to recycle a bottle, such as creating jewelry,
ornaments, flower pot holders, etc.
RECOMMENDATIONS:

Both in companies and in the home, a classification of solid waste must be

carried out, using containers with different colors that indicate their content.
With proper waste sorting, infections, accidents at work and other diseases, as
well as damage to the environment can be reduced.
