overloading. Motor efficiencies shall be in compliance with ASHRAE
90.1 2004 Table 10.8 as indicated in Section 26 ‘ Electrical Requirements
for Mechanical Equipment’ .
6. Pump Accessories: Comply with the regulations referred to above;
including, but not limited to, the following:
a. Reducer and Increaser: Wherever connecting pipe size is different
from pump connection; tapered reducer, and discharge increaser,
concentric or eccentric as shown; piping end to be of the size shown
for connecting piping, drilling to suit adjacent piping flanges.
b. Automatic Air Release: Cast iron; working pressure valve body not
less than the pump casing; Simplex or Sarco manufacturer; bronze
or stainless steel float and working parts.
c. Circulation Relief Valve: N.B. certified, capacity as per NFPA
Standards, all bronze, 115 percent of rated pump head.
d. Pressure Gauges: On the piping at the pump inlet and the
discharge; 114mm minimum diameter; scale range per NFPA
Standards.

c. Controller shall have pilot lamps to indicate power available; and
shall have alarm relay and bell indicator light, which shall energize
an audible and/or visible alarm through a separate 240 Volt circuit, to
indicate "Power Failure."
d. Relay in the controller shall operate a distinctive light on the
controller cabinet, continuously, while the pump is running.
e. Provide all pressure sensing piping, and pressure gauge adjacent to
the controller, on the piping.
f. The controller shall provide local audible and visual indication as well
as SPDT remote contacts for the following alarms:
1) AC Power Failure
