II. Project Purpose and Rationale


Most of public schools cannot sustain a medical need for emergencies by
any chance that a student would be harmed. A place inside campus like
infirmary could be helpful if we make a petition of this at every school.
Students can receive care and action for treatment quickly.
The importance of the safety of students cannot be stressed enough. Be it at
home or in school, the lives and safety of students are of utmost importance.
Furthermore, it can help students to enable health support if they needed it.
Here are some reasons why schools should have infirmary:
• Health is about everyday practice.
•They may get hurt and bruise.
•Students can rest to recover when they need medical attention.
•Parents can rest assured that the schools are doing more than teaching
different subjects.
•Schools can become rich repositories of knowledge.
As a matter of fact, by the help of this infirmary it can help the school to
ensure the safety of their students. Having a well-equipped infirmary is not only
needed at school, but must become mandatory. A set of rules or standards must
be in place to ensure that the staff and students at school receive the best
possible treatment. Children will be children so it's important to ensure they can
receive timely care.

III. Project Description


The school infirmary is equipped with the basic materials and facilities to
address the health needs of learners while in school also infirmary is a dedicated
space where students can rest or recover when they need medical attention.
Other spaces like classrooms or teachers' room do not have the right facilities.
Most schools have first-aid and a dedicated ambulance to handle any
medical emergencies. An infirmary is rarely heard of as belonging to the
ecosystem of a school.
When it comes to taking steps towards development of the children, schools
pay a lot of attention to their intellectual development. While it is expected that
schools take care of the intellectual growth of the students through academics,
they also ought to do something about their actual, physical development.
Having a first aid box and an ambulance at disposal isn't enough. Schools
are capable of doing more and ought to do so too. Incorporating an infirmary for
instance, expands the horizon of the minimum that is expected from a school.
The school infirmary seeks to:
a. ensures the safety of students in school in case of emergency.
b. assures the parents about the safety of their children in school.
c. assures the students an environment which pays attention to health every day.
d. establishes a school that could be a rich repositories of knowledge, which can
in turn, help other pediatricians in the city to get a better understanding of what
is happening, especially case of an epidemic.
Safety and security of children need not be restricted to surveillance
equipment. A student, healthy in both body and mind, is the complete
responsibility of the school, especially when away from home, and in school
premises.
The best of the schools go beyond having first aid and ambulance basic
measures in place to address anything related to physical well-being.
