Machine Cleaning Procedure
Before every RCS goods and raw materials start production need to clean machine. there is
a cleaning procedure and visual check that the machine is clean which means that it is
completely empty and free of remains of non RCS materials.
Cleaning and disinfection Procedure
Three basic principles can be distinguished with respect to cleaning:
1) Dry cleaning
2) Cleaning with water
3) Cleaning with water and a cleaning agent (RCS approved)
1. Dry Cleaning: In the case of machine of dry neutral substances only, dry cleaning
may be sufficient and beneficial practically. The general cleaning regime is as
follows:
a) Clean the means of machine by extraction, blowing out or sweeping.
b) Manual cleaning of places which are difficult to reach.
c) If there are still remains after dry cleaning then use additional wet cleaning.
NB: In dry cleaning the preference is manual and not using PVC free cleaning tools (brush,
sweeper) and suction because it will consume electricity or other natural resources.
2. Cleaning With Water: After carrying out dry cleaning, if the cleaning does not
bring satisfactory result than wet process can be followed with minimum water use.
Cleaning with water is only necessary after machine for instance, damp or sticky
substances or possibly harmful chemicals. Fair Poly Ltd. does not clean the machine
any sticky substances but if necessary, the machine can be washed with water once
every month. The general cleaning regime is as follows:
a) Remove residue from the previous production in machine as much and as dry as
possible
b) Manual cleaning
c) Dry through ventilation (hot air dryer is discouraged).

3. Cleaning with water and cleaning agent: After following process 1 and 2 if the
cleaning does not bring satisfaction then cleaning with cleaning agents can be done
but such cleaning is strongly discoursed. If with cleaning agents become crucial then
cleaning can be done but the components and source of cleaning agent must not
violate RCS requirements.
a) Remove residue from the previous production in machine as and as dry as
possible
b) Pre-rinse with water and clean difficult places by hand.
c) Cleaning agent mixed with water flushing and proper draining to remove the
residual of cleaning agent.
d) The rinsed water should be disposed in proper place and not dumped in any
nearest water body and should not become an issue of ground water
contamination.
e) If necessary dry through ventilation (hot air dryer is discouraged).
