GENERAL OPERATION
Procedure
The pro codes the master key only, after this you will need to fit the slave key programmer (ADC189) - when fitted the
warning light will continually flash fault code 21 with the ignition on.
To code a slave key proceed as follows:
1 With the master key turn the ignition On wait for flash code 21 and then turn OFF
2 Insert the first slave key to be programmed
3 Turn the ignition ON, wait for flash code 21
4 Turn the ignition OFF
5 Insert the master key turn the ignition On wait for flash code 21 and then turn OFF
Insert any additional slave keys to be programmed and continue as above, points 3 and 4.
Remove the slave key programmer and check key operation (the warning light should be OUT when the
ignition is turned ON.)
NOTE: Total number of keys is 4 (1 master and 3 slaves)

Procedure
1. Ensure all doors are closed.
2. Ensure Ignition is OFF.
3. Disconnect battery negative terminal.
4. Within 15 seconds of disconnecting terminal, connect negative terminal and press remote control LOCK and
UNLOCK buttons, or just the UNLOCK button on some models for a minimum of 5 seconds.
5. The vehicle will LOCK and UNLOCK.
6. Then within 5 seconds press the LOCK and UNLOCK buttons, or just the UNLOCK for a minimum of 1 second
until vehicle LOCKS and UNLOCKS.
7. If programming a second remote control repeat steps 4 to 6.
NOTE : Maximum of 2 remotes can be programmed.
NOTE : For the SIRION a maximum of 4 remotes can be programmed.

IMPORTANT : PLEASE ENSURE ALL PRECAUTIONS
ARE OBSERVED AS INDICATED AT THE FRONT OF
THE OPERATING MANUAL.
IN PARTICULAR : For vehicles fitted with STOP/START technology, the battery leads
must not be shorted together when the battery is disconnected as this can lead to damage to the car and
potential personal injury.
