Software Control Strategy
• Control Method : BMS send a mode and the target water temperature, and the thermal management unit acts
according to the command.

• Communication Method : CANBUS2.0

• Operating Mode : Three working modes : Shut down, Cooling, Self-circulation.

• Control logic : BMS send a mode and the target water temperature, and the thermal management unit acts
according to the command.

a) Shutdown Mode : Except for HCM, other components are not working.
b) Self-Circulation:HCM controls the pump to work at a constant speed.
c) Cooling Mode:HCM controls the operation of cooling components.

• When the outlet water temperature reaches the target water temperature of N-5°C, the compressor is turned
off and the fan stops for a long time. The pump continues to work and enters the self-circulating mode.

• When the outlet water temperature reaches the target water temperature N+1 °C, the fan and compressor are
restarted.

• When the target water temperature is N<10°C, the target water temperature is treated at 10°C.

Installation Point Definition

The unit is equipped with 6 "L" type supports, one of which has a circular hole of 12mm, and the
other five are provided with a waist hole of 13 x 17mm, with screws from top to bottom for
fixation, When inserting the screw, add a flat washer and a spring washer. The M10
recommends a torque of 45Nm.

Vehicle Installation Location
• BUS Roof: The fan of the BTMS should be towards BUS tail, and sufficient space should be left at
the periphery of the water pipe and the electrical interface for easy assembly.
• BUS tail: The fan of the BTMS should be towards the left or right of the BUS, water pipe and
electrical interface towards BUS rear cover for easy assembly.

BTMS Installation Environment

• The unit draws air on three sides and exhausts on one side. Within 100 mm of the outside of the
suction surface, no obstruction is allowed.
• The whole vehicle body of the wind-out surface of the unit should be opened with a grille, and the
ventilation area of the window should not be less than 45000 mm2.
• Height position requirements of vehicle waterway parts: the bottom of the water tank is higher than
the tee, than the battery pack and the BTMS.

Coolant & Electrical Connection
• The difference between the unit inlet and outlet pipes, according to the letter on the unit.
• The joint between the vehicle hose and the aluminum tube of the unit is forbidden to be bent,
twisted and knotted.

• After the high-voltage connector is docked with the harness of the vehicle, it is strictly prohibited
that the high-voltage harness of the vehicle is bent, twisted, knotted.
• After the low-voltage connector is docked with the harness of the vehicle, it is strictly forbidden
to bend, twist, knot, etc., the low-voltage harness of the whole vehicle.
• The connector plug in the wiring harness of the whole vehicle is forbidden to be pulled,
suspended, etc., and must be fixed somewhere.
