FOUNDATION FORMWORK (ALL STEEL).

1. Mark the Layout of foundation.

2. Lower the formwork materials to the foundation level from NGL.

Assembly of formwork:

 Place the floor forms along the line and connect the same with form clamps/assembly pin
and floor form corners or external/internal corner plates.

 Fix the Pipe Whalers with floor forms by using Whaler clamps/C-clip with floor forms.

 Fix the soldiers vertically behind the pipe Whaler by using Whaler connectors with
accessories.

 Fix the alignment struts and adjust according to the dimension and verticality.

 If required provide through tie rods through the holes already provided in floor forms. If
not plug the holes with PVC threaded plugs.

 To meet the structural plan dimension (in case of gap between the floor forms) use
lapping plate or Timber/plywood piece.

Dismantling of formwork.

 Remove the Tie rods and its accessories alignment struts.

 Remove soldier’s Whaler clamps/C-clips, pipe Whalers.
 Remove the assembly pins, floor form corner and floor forms.
 Clean and shift the formwork materials to next foundation or stack the same in a proper
position

FOUNDATION FORMWORK (WITH PLYWOOD)

1. Mark the layout of foundation.

2. Lower the formwork materials to the foundation level from NGL.

Assembly of formwork

 Place the plywood shutters along the line and connect the same with wire nails/bolts and
nuts.

 Fix the Pipe Whalers/Timbers horizontally behind shutters as per the drawing.

 Fix the soldiers/Whalers vertically behind the pipe Whaler/timbers by using Whaler
connectors with accessories.

Dismantling of formwork.

 First remove the alignment struts.

 Remove soldiers, Whalers, pipe Whalers, Whaler connectors & pipe Whaler clamps.

 Remove the shutters.

 Clean and shift the formwork materials to next foundation.

Wall/Column Formwork (With Crane 1 Lift operations)

1. Starter with timber sides to suit wall dimensions.

2. Remove the forms of starter after the concreting is over.

Assembly of Formwork:

 Place shutter panel and check the edges with plumb, then place other shutter panels
continuously along one side of the wall

 Insert the Tie rods (up to other side wall surface) covered by PVC pipe at the (i.e.
Maximum spacing 1.20 m c/c horizontally and vertically 900mm c/c in shutter panels) at
waling positions.

 Place the other side shutter panel and check the edges with plumb, then place other
shutter panels continuously.

 Extend the tie rods and fix the same with anchor plate & wing nut.

 Place alignment props/supporting bracket with necessary assembly at interval of 1200mm

c/c max and wherever joining are available between panels.

 Join the shutter panels together by using joint plate (i.e. for standard panels; for panels of
non-standard size, clamp arrangement with pins to be provided without fail.

 Fix timber spacers (for maintaining the wall thickness) at

beam/Timber sections locations on the top between the shutter panels.

 Adjust the shutter verticality by using alignment struts/plumb bobs

 Check the straight line of the both shutters with the help of line thread.

 Check the wall thickness at the top.

Form work
NCC LIMITED
(Formerly Nagarjuna Construction Company Limited)

 Wherever required fix inside corners and outside fixing arrangements according to the
requirements (for Inner and outside corners).

 Wherever necessary fix coil nuts or anchors, water barriers etc.covered with PVC sleeves
at 350 mm from the top of concrete level.

Removal of formwork:

 First remove wing nut, anchor plates, and tie rod, in all the panels

 Remove Joint plates/waling extn. & connecting pins.

 Remove shutters (each separately) with the help of crane, Prop (alignment strut) should
be removed only at the time of lifting the panel

 In case of shutter being used for subsequent lifts the alignment struts, supporting brackets
need not be removed.

 In case of subsequent lifts remove climbing brackets, suspended platforms handrail post,
accessories.

 Clean and shift shutter panels (with alignment props/supporting brackets) to next
Lift/length.

WALL FORMWORK (without Crane) for I LIFT

 Cast starter with timber sides.

 Remove the forms of starter after the concreting is over.

Assembly of formwork:

 For manual handling panel size shall be restricted to maximum of 1200 mm

 Place Shutter panel and check the edges with plumb, then place other shutter panels
continuously along the one side of the wall.
 Fix steel Whalers with shutter panels using Flange claw assembly at every stage.
 Join the shutter panels together by using std.splice plate (i.e. for standard panels; for
panels of non-standard size with clamp arrangement, with pins.
 Insert the Tie rods (up to other side wall surface) covered by PVC pipe at the required
locations in shutter panels
 Place other side shutter panel and check the edges with plumb, then place other
 Shutter panels continuously.
 Fix steel Whalers with shutter panels using flange claw assembly at every stage.
 Join the shutter panels together by using Std. Splice plate (i.e. for standard panels when
used) for panels of non standard size clamp arrangement and with pins.
 Extend the Tie rods and fix with Anchor plate & wing nut.
 Place alignment props /supporting bracket with Head adaptor assy. & foot adaptor
assembly at every stage.
 Place timber spacers (for wall thickness) on the top between the shutter panels

Form work
NCC LIMITED
(Formerly Nagarjuna Construction Company Limited)

 Adjust the shutters to verticality by using alignment props/plumb bobs

 Check the straight line of the both shutters with the help of line thread.
 Place Timber spacers (for wall thickness) on the top between the shutter panels.
 Adjust the shutter verticality by using alignment props/plumb bobs
 Check the straight line of the both shutters with the help of line thread.
 Check the wall thickness at the top. Wherever required fix inside
 Corner and outside fixing according to the requirements (For inner and outside corners
of walls).

SLAB FORMWORK (Slab with Waffle)

Assembly of staging & formwork:

 Mark Cup lock location according to the design parameters, shall be calculated based on
good for construction drawings however we will maintain 1800X900 grid in standard
practice
 Place main Cup lock verticals with required horizontals, keep the 50mm thick timber
planks without fail before going for 2 nd level.– I step, fix the 40NB ledgers on both
directions in two levels - II step, Drop head with adjustable base plate – III step.
 Place metri forms and adjust the spacing as per the drawing/Specs, design given at a
