Applied research:
Arrangement and analysis of interviews, surveys, statistics,
tables, and data.

Tools of research:
Art of translation and its requirements, standard orthography
and skill (for candidates using Urdu) or applicable systems of
transliteration (for candidates using English). Familiarity with
basic concept of terms in revevant discipline.

Medium of research
(For the departments of language and literature): Basic
grammar of first language, prosody, rhetoric, chronogram, an
initial knowledge of grammar and social and historical
contacts of applicable language.

The above entries consist only of an outline of courses. A

detailed and extended course of studies should be designed
and formulated separately, along with a comprehensive list of
basic and secondary sources, by each department/ faculty
accordingly.
