Dear brothers and sisters in Christ- Most of the world talks about 2020 as the year that they would like
Total Insurance/Taxes/Assembly 9,758 9,411 9,377 9,746
to forget. There are a lot of good reasons that they feel that way. The year has brought changes we
would not have chosen and suffering made harder as people have fought illness and grief without the
Maintenance and Utilities comfort of hugs and in person support. As a congregation, we have experienced almost twice as many
Buildings and Grounds deaths in 2020 as in 2019. Over 15 of our members have had and fought the COVID-19 virus.

On the church council are leaders who volunteered to serve and when the pandemic struck, stepped up

keeping it safe. And courageously made the decision to close our doors to in person worship when it

all time. While we were all in the same storm, each of us had a different experience. Terms used
to describe 2020 included upside down, topsy-turvy, out of control, and of course – the new

My Dad’s favorite bible verse was I Corinthians 13:13 which reads in the NIV Bible as, “And now Total Church Employees 29,752 28,436 27,444 28,436
these three remain; faith, hope, and love. But the greatest of these is love.” But my Dad always
used the King James version which reads, “And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but
Pastor's Salaries and Expenses
the greatest of these is charity.” I am sure biblical scholars over the years reread and researched
Pastor's Expenses 2,052 3,750 1,826 2,450
the text from the original manuscripts to adapt the translations to change over the years from
charity to love. But in 2020, we have in one short year proven that love and charity are Pastor's Salary
synonymous. It is this spirit of love that has kept our orbit steady. * Cash Salary 48,875 48,875 48,875 48,875
