COURSE TITLE : Good Governance and Social Responsibility

COURSE UNIT : 3 Units: 3-Hour Lecture

PRE-REQUISITE : None

COURSE OBJECTIVE : To present to the students the significance of good governance and social responsibility in the development of the country and within
themselves as they become professionals making them good members of the society.
COURSE DESCRIPTION : This course focuses on the basic concepts, principles, frameworks and practices of social responsibility and good governance. It
analyzes the government framework that guides social responsibility and good governance practice.

GENERAL OBJECTIVES :
1. To explain the nature of government and its roles in social, political and economic development of the country
2. To define and discuss the principles and objectives of social responsibility and good governance
3. To identify the major issues and the developments globally and locally
4. To explain the core principles underlying fairness, accountability and transparency in governance
