Excited to have seen the International Graduate Program advertisement on my university’s job board,
I am writing to apply for the Supply Chain opening, as well as to express my enthusiasm and
determination for this unique opportunity. With a diverse background, and aspirations aligned with
this program’s international and demanding nature, I am confident that my profile and skills will
make a valuable addition to Heineken’s workforce.

Currently a senior student of a 5-year MEng program at the National Technical University of Athens, I
have specialized in the field of Industrial Engineering and Operations Management, while always
demonstrating a strong academic performance (GPA: 8.9/10). The courses I have completed have
given me a solid foundation in the tools, methodology and thinking process involved in efficiently
analyze and successfully resolve complex optimization problems often seen in the industry.
Specifically, I developed a particular interest in the function of logistics, where optimizing procedures
and minimizing cost and times is crucial.

In addition to my analytical strengths and technical competencies – mainly in areas such as Supply
Chain Management, Project Management and Operational Research – I also bring to the table a
strong business acumen. The latter, I have developed through my parallel studies in finance, as well as
the internships I had, in both corporate and industrial settings, where I always sought opportunities to
streamline procedures and improve operational efficiency. Specifically, as an intern, I twice took the
initiative to prepare and suggest improvements which were eventually adopted – created a smart
model to monitor aircraft maintenance costs; and designed an internal procedure to improve
communication effectiveness within a plant’s job shop.

As confirmed by the repeated commendations from the people I worked with at Libra Group – where I
interned for 5 months in Dublin, Ireland – and PepsiCo, I have always been consistent in my quality of
work and committed to delivering results. Aware of the challenges in addressing the big and complex
supply chain network of Heineken, I firmly believe that I am capable of meeting the company’s
expectations, and ready to prove myself in action.
