For the Singapore market, examine 

one (1) cultural, one (1) social and two (2) personal factors


that can influence consumer's buying behavior towards Chinese fashion brands like Urban
Revivo.

Singapore do not only share borders but also social-cultural aspects. The country shares a pop-
culture with China. When it comes to social aspects the high immigration of Chinese to
Singapore has led to the development of the simplified Chinese language in Singapore. When
these factors are combined with Singapore’s love for foreign and exorbitant items-they create an
increase in the demand for Chinese fashion brands.

(b)   Illustrate the two (2) types of market entry strategies into foreign markets, then
identify and explain the market strategy employed by Urban Revivo as it expands into
international markets.

A good entry strategy to a foreign market can significantly increase the likelihood of that
products success within the market. There are dozens of entry strategies but some come to the
forefront more often, these include-
Collaborations/ mergers or alliances- a company seeking to expand to a foreign market can
acquire or collaborate with a top performing company in oversees market. What this kind of
collaboration does is that it extends customer base to the acquiring firm.

Intensive market campaigns- the company can carry out aggressive advertising together with
product promotion to increase brand popularity in the foreign country.

(c)   In its quest to open more international stores by 2020, briefly demonstrate how Urban
Revivo can apply the four (4) steps involved in channel-design decisions.

There are four channel-designs which influence the steps followed in the distribution process.
1. Direct selling;
2. Selling through intermediaries;
3. Dual distribution; and.
4. Reverse channels.
Urban Revivo can use each of the channel-design or combinations to influence how its products
reach end-users. Here is how the company can implement strategies distribution strategies using
the four channel designs:
Direct-selling
The company can set physical retail outlets abroad where foreign consumers can go and make
purchases.
Use of intermediaries.
Intermediaries include wholesalers and large retailers who will buy Urban Revivo’s good’s in
bulk for the purposes of resale.
Dual intermediaries
Under this category Urban Revivo can set up multiple-Flow channels through which their goods
flow to end-users.
Reverse channels
Urban Revivo can set up e-commerce websites that allows consumers to place their own orders.
