Perhitungan Sambungan Baja Baut

The document provides calculations for bolt connections between structural elements. It calculates loads on connections based on dead and live loads. It then analyzes the bolt connections for several criteria including shear strength, tensile strength, and interaction of shear and tension. The calculations show the connections meet the strength requirements to withstand the calculated loads.

Bolt Connection

Calculation for the bolt connection between wales-strut, and wales-steel sheet pile.
The picture below is model for the bolt connection. Load for this model is dead
load and live load
B

Load 1 that represent P1, is the ultimate load. It is already multiple with load
factor. Load 2 is also the same. Because the load is dead and live, the load
combination factor use
1.2 D + 1.6 L or 1.4 D. Below is how to get P1 and P2 :

-Load 1
Dead load = 7850 kg/m3 x 0.02187 m2 x 4.6 m
= 790 kg
Live load = 100 kg/m2 (design for at least working people load) x 0.4 m x 4.6m
= 184 kg

Ultimate load = 1.4 D

= 1.4 x 790 = 1106 kg
Ultimate load = 1.2 D + 1.6 L
= 1.2 x 790 + 1.6 x 184 = 1242.4 kg (decisive)
-Load 2
Dead load = 7850 kg/m3 x 0.02187 m2 x 3 m
= 516 kg
Live load = 100 kg/m2 (design for at least working people load) x 0.4 m x 3 m
= 120 kg

Ultimate load = 1.4 D

= 1.4 x 516 = 722.4 kg
Ultimate load = 1.2 D + 1.6 L
= 1.2 x 516 + 1.6 x 120 = 811.2 kg (decisive)

Rd=2.4 . ∅ f . db . tp. f u
Detail :
∅ f = 0.75, fracture strength reduction factor.
db = nominal diameter for bolt
tp = thickness of the plate, the least between 3 types of plate thickness, use tp

fu = breaking tensile stress, the least between breaking tensile stress for bolt
