Dearest CCF family, friends and guests,

Warmest of welcomes to IDC 2021, our first-ever purely online discipleship

conference broadcasted all around the world!
As 2021 dawns on us, we look back at an unprecedented time in our generation
when life went into lockdown. Governments scrambled to find solutions to a
health pandemic that brought even the world’s best economies into deep
recession. People of all walks of life lost loved ones and livelihood.
The world had a rude awakening that no earthly power or knowledge is big
enough to control what happens in life. So many needed to hear messages
of hope, healing and heaven in the midst of suffering and death.
As a church, we seized boundless opportunities to proclaim Christ to people
of all nations. Using technology and the internet, we connected with friends
and family with prayer and the gospel. We learned more what “church” really
meant, the fellowship of believers on a mission, not confined to hearing
sermons in a building. Amazingly, our online worship services and Dgroup
meetings had hundreds of thousands of views and engagements on social
media.
IDC 2021 seeks to promote the urgency of proclaiming God’s truth in our new-
normal world. While we cannot be physically present with one another, we
trust that we are united in purpose in re-thinking and retooling our discipleship
and evangelism to maximize boundless opportunities in 2021 and beyond.
God bless you and we pray that you will be filled with much joy and hope as
we participate in IDC 2021 Discipleship in the New Normal.

In His Service,
Peter Tan-chi
CCF Senior Pastor

• These 4 R’s are a comprehensive practice for living a Christ-first life.
• There is a spiritual component in reaching people that involves more
than just speaking in a way for them to hear the truth...it also involves
how we live our life to a watching world. It’s the apologetic of our life
that combined with the right approach and the right tools can make our
apologetic three-dimensional.
• You may not feel qualified to do what God has called you to do; but
if God has called you to be a witness, He will empower you to be a
witness. We just need to be obedient to his calling.

COVID-19 has been posing unprecedented challenges and has become a crisis of multiple aspects: human, economic,
and social. All of us feel the debilitating effect of lockdowns, economic downturns, and social isolation — from overeating,
oversleeping, and anxiety, to long- term consequences within families and individuals.* As we all pray and wait for a
vaccine, we must not neglect the other aspects of our well-being. Is there a better way to manage stress, and a realistic
way to stay healthy physically, mentally and emotionally in the new normal?

Statistics show that there are 2.2 million Filipinos at work overseas, all over the world.* And though their working conditions
and family situations may be far from ideal, God may have a higher purpose for such diaspora: our OFWs may be our
nation’s greatest contribution to world missions. What can we intentionally do as a church to bring them in to become
believers, involve them as God’s workers, and equip them to become His messengers throughout the world?

the church is a highly sexualized world; the definition of marriage now includes the legal union of same-sex couples; and
