This free parent workshop presented by Focus on Today consists of 3 sessions on February 5th, 12th, and 19th teaching breathing techniques and tools to help regulate oneself during challenging times. The first session focuses on tuning into one's breath. The second builds on breathing and adds a fingerhold practice. The third merges the techniques with Emotional Freedom Technique to soothe stress and gently dissolve trapped emotions. Myra Tapia, a health educator and certified counselor, will lead the sessions in English or Spanish.

Introduction to Wellness Tools is created to help folks of all ages understand how they
can support themselves through challenging times. The following practices are divided into
three sessions. Each session building on the previous and teaching practical tools to self
regulate in real-time. Sessions can be taught in English or Spanish.

1 How My Breath Supports Me is focused on learning to tune into the breath. Breathing
techniques are excellent to calm body, mind, and spirit.

The breathing techniques taught previously are taken to the next level by adding the Fingerhold
2 Practice. Fingerhold Practice is a very easy yet powerful way to manage emotions and stress
anywhere anytime.

In this meeting we merge breathing techniques learned with Emotional Freedom Technique.
3 This technique can be done to soothe stress and emotions. This specific practice also helps
dissolve any trapped emotions from the past in a safe and gentle manner.

Myra Tapia is a Health Educator, Massage Therapist, Kundalini Yoga Teacher and a Certified Community
Counselor with extensive master level training in biofield therapies. Myra holds master level training in various
styles of Reiki, is an Integrated Energy Therapy Master Instructor and practitioner in shamanic and traditional
Mexican healing arts. Myra has been practicing for over 20 years and enjoys supporting her community foster

Introducción a Las Herramientas de Bienestar se creó para ayudar a personas de todas


las edades a comprender cómo pueden mantenerse a sí mismas en tiempos difíciles. Las
siguientes prácticas se dividen en tres sesiones. Cada sesión se basa en las herramientas
prácticas previas y didácticas para autorregularse en tiempo real. Las sesiones se pueden
impartir en inglés o español.

1 Cómo Me Apoya Mi Respiración se centra en aprender a sintonizarme con la respiración. Las


técnicas de respiración son excelentes para calmar el cuerpo, la mente y el espíritu.

Las técnicas de respiración enseñadas anteriormente se llevan al siguiente nivel agregando la


2 Práctica De Agarrededos. Práctica De Agarrededos es una forma muy fácil y poderosa de
manejar las emociones y el estrés en cualquier lugar y en cualquier momento.

En esta reunión fusionamos las técnicas de respiración aprendidas de la Técnica de Libertad


3 Emocional. Esta técnica se puede realizar para aliviar el estrés y las emociones. La práctica
específica también ayuda a disolver cualquier emoción atrapada del pasado de una manera
segura y gentil.
