Windows RNDIS driver for Android Tethering

Installation:

1. Please update Microsoft Hotfix KB959765 for windows XP;

2. Then install RNDIS driver using Tethering_RNDIS.inf.

2. Driver_Auto_Installer

This application will install USB com port driver for MediaTek's device

those IDs are listed below:

1."VID_0E8D&PID_0003" ( Smartphone BootROM - MTK USB Port)

2."VID_0E8D&PID_2000" (SmartPhone - Preloaer USB Port)

3."VID_0E8D&PID_2001" (SmartPhone - DA USB Port)

4."Vid_0E8D&PID_2006&MI_02" (SmartPhone - Kernel Gadget USB

port, Please customize your kernel VID/PID)

"Vid_0E8D&PID_2007"

"Vid_0E8D&PID_200a&MI_02"

The application user must belong to Administrator group or have the

privilege to install driver.

The execution of the InstallDriver.exe will install the driver, and the

UninstallDriver.exe is special for remove driver.

The InstallDriver.exe will remove the legacy version of driver before

install current driver automatically.


Notes:

1. Windows 2003 use the INF files which under the 2K_XP_COM

2. The device which generates two com ports (USB Modem Port Driver &

USB Modem Debug Driver) only support Systems after Win XP sp3

version. If you want to support these devices in Win XP Sp2, add these

patchs:

3. Windows ACM COM port driver

Installation:

1. Please update Microsoft Hotfix KB943198 for windows XP;

2. It is better to update your windows XP to SP3;

3. Then install ACM driver using Android_Gadget_CDC_driver.inf.

4. MTP

For Win7, the OS can help install the drivers automatically.

For XP,

1. We need to update the Windows Media Player of the PC to the

wmp11.

2. If it can’t still work, please modify the inf file.


We need to open the Device management, and find the other

device->MTP, double click “MTP”, and check the detail info item.

Write down the VID/PID info.

3. Now modify the “ wpdmtp.inf” file which locates in SP_Drivers


folder. “XXXX” is value of VID/PID.

the detail steps:


1. connect the phone and PC with USB cable. Slide down the
notifications.
2. Click the Connected as USB Storage

3. select the Built-in CD-ROM, then you will find the CD disk on your

PC. Please copy those drivers files to your PC.

4. Access to the device manager of your PC. And start update your

drivers.
5. select the driver files.
All of driver files should be copied to your PC for selection before

installation. While all efforts have been made to ensure the accuracy

of all contents in this manual, but this manual is only for reference.
