Congratulations! You have reached the final stage of our interview process!
Amazon is closely following the Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19), and implementing processes that promote candidate and
employee safety. Out of an abundance of caution, we are conducting all candidate interviews virtually. Learn more about our virtual
interview process here.
Below is some additional information to help you prepare for your interview. Please reach out to your recruiter with any additional
questions or concerns.
Before your Interview
You will need a computer with a video camera and access to internet for your virtual interview.
Please be prepared to conduct your interviews in a private and quiet area, free from distractions and background noise. We
recommend using a headset or headphones to limit audio issues. If you do not have access to either of these resources,
please notify your Recruiting Coordinator as soon as possible.

Using the STAR method & Leadership Principles
We interview using the STAR method (Situation, Task, Action, Result) and focus on our Leadership Principles. Structure
your answers accordingly and review our Leadership Principles. Do not memorize or quote them, as this is not the purpose.
We find most successful Amazonians have these traits inherently engrained in their DNA so the interviewers will want to
see if you demonstrate the same. Prepare several different examples of situations and/or experiences you have had that
best reflect each Leadership Principle. Make sure you can dive deep into your examples, as you should expect 2-3 probing,
follow-up questions for each example that you give. Think about the “Who, What, When, Where, Why, and How” as it
pertains to the information and data behind your outcomes.

Method).
During your Interview
During your in-person interview, you can expect to meet with 4-6 Amazonians, and may meet with up to two interviewers
at a time.

Interviewers will be taking notes directly on their laptops. They are not emailing or on IM. They are listening and trying to
capture everything you say. Some are better than others at keeping eye contact while doing this.
Amazon dress code is casual, wearing a suit is not necessary – please dress comfortably!
After your Interview
Following your interview, Amazon will send you an anonymous survey about your experience within 2-4 weeks. It will ask
you to rate your interview experience on a scale of 1-5, with a response of 1 meaning very dissatisfied (negative) and 5
meaning very satisfied (positive). Please take a few minutes to complete this as it helps our recruiting team to gather
feedback on the strengths of our process, and better understand the ways in which we can improve. We take the time to
review every survey response in order to provide a positive experience to future candidates.
Your suggestions can help make a huge impact in our process, so be sure to let us know how we did!
Thank you for considering Amazon as the next step in your journey!
