Zapiekanka

Ingredients

Loaf of Baguette Bread cut in half and sliced lengthwise

1-2 tablespoons of butter

2 cups White Mushrooms, sliced

1/2 small white onion sliced

3 cups freshly grated cheddar cheese

Ketchup for garnish

Instructions

Preheat to 300F

In a skillet over medium heat melt butter, and pan fry mushrooms and onions until soft and cooked
through. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

On each half of the baguette, evenly spread the cooked mushrooms and onion to cover the cut side of
the bread.

Sprinkle with freshly grated cheddar cheese, to your liking

Toast until cheese is all nicely melted through, about 5 minutes

Drizzle with ketchup before serving and enjoy warm.

Breakfast Casserole

One of the many advantages of having a casserole for breakfast is that you can make many variations in
its ingredients and come up with innovative ideas. This is also one of the best recipes to include
leftovers!

Ingredients

10 slices of bread (white or wheat)

1 lb of cooked seasoned Italian sausage

1 small can of mushrooms

7 beaten eggs

½ cup of shredded Cheddar cheese

½ cup of shredded mozzarella cheese


1 cup of milk

1 cup of light cream

½ teaspoon of Worcestershire

½ teaspoon of pepper

1 teaspoon of salt

Method of Preparation

Mix eggs, milk, cream, Worcestershire, salt, and pepper together to form a smooth mixture.

Grease a pan of suitable size.

Arrange layers of bread, mushrooms, cheese, and cooked sausage.

Pour the aforementioned mixture of eggs and milk.

Refrigerate this mixture for 12 hours or overnight.

Heat the oven to 350 degrees F and bake for 40-45 minutes.

Your breakfast casserole is ready. Serve hot!
