1. The PTC heating component is installed with Ambient Temperature: 25℃
safety protection device. When it is used
abnormally, current will automatically cut off to
maintain safety.
2. The heating components are integrated together,
consist of average heating effect. When used for
heaters, it can be controlled independently. For
example, single PTC (500W,800W) double PTC
(1000W,1500W) or triple PTC(1500W,2000W)
heating components, effectively saves electricity
cost and increases product life.
3. The pole and terminal are connected by point
welding, preventing electrode loosen causing
resistant and temperature to increase when
heated, cold contraction or heat inflation.
4. The outer edge of the PTC heating component
is designed with single and double insulation.
When in contact with metal will not cause
electric shock or short circuit.
5. The heating component is airtight/ tightly sealed,
electrode is unexposed. Most suitable for
application in bathroom or high humidity
locations.
6. It is installed with double insulation heating
device, can be used underwater, without causing electricity leakage or short circuit. When heated dry, it will
not crack or burn down the container.
7. No smell, no radiation and will not oxidize or cause oxygen shortage when used for a long time.
8. Fast thermal respond time, low inrush current. Will not cause fire sparks or flame by instant/sudden power
supply or when in contact with flammable objects such as matches, cotton, paper.
9. Temperature control devices are not required for various temperature selections. Static heating, lowers
product cost and saves electricity effectively.
10. The heating component not only can be used in heater fans, its individual components can also be used for
general house ware electricity appliances
11. Either AC/DC can be applied to meet customers' requirements, special specification can be developed
according to customers' need.

1. PTC FIN PITCH:
Extra-high-heating-efficiency Fin Pitch: 1.2mm(S), 1.68mm(M)
Extra-low-air resistance Fin Pitch: 2.0mm(N), 2.6mm(B)
The Power(W) in the Part Numbering chart is based on PTC air heaters with extra-high efficiency fin pitches. Fin pitch
1.68mm(M) for MSH, SH and OH models, and fin pitch 1.2mm(S) for MH model.
The Power(W) of PTC air heater with fin pitch 2.0mm(N) is 95% of PTC air heater with fin pitch 1.2mm(S).
The Power(W) of PTC air heater with fin pitch 2.6mm(B) is 90% of PTC air heater with fin pitch 1.2mm(S).
The Power(W) of PTC air heater with fin pitch 2.6mm(B) is 90% of PTC air heater with fin pitch 1.68mm(M).
2. PTC INSULATION:
The Power(W) in the Part Numbering chart is based on PTC air heaters with Single Insulation(S).
The PTC air heater with Double Insulation(D) does not have electrode potential on the fins. It is suitable for use where the
device may be in contact with other conductive materials (eg. metal); expose to high humidity; with shock resistance
requirement; or in products that require superior stability and quality (eg. automobiles).
The Power(W) of PTC air heater with double insulation(D) is approximately 10% less than PTC air heater with single
insulation(S).
The price of PTC air heaters with double insulation(D) is 20~30% more than single insulation(S) PTC air heaters.

as the constant power resistor for battery discharge tests. The PTC thermistors used in this high power heater are
self-regulating elements that can operate at a nearly constant power over a wide range of voltage and environmental

PTC Heaters for Electric Vehicles
KLC Corporation offers standard electric auxiliary heaters for the future generations of electric, hybrid and fuel cell
vehicles.
As more energy-efficient diesel and hybrid-powered vehicles take to the roads, recent trends toward engines with
lower heat rejection rates in production vehicles has progressively reduced the amount of available "waste" heat for
compartment heating. In an effort to reduce compartment heat up time while increasing the compartment
temperature, a new PTC (positive temperature coefficient) electric heater system has been developed to supplement
the performance of current hot water based vehicle heaters.
The PTC supplemental heater system features automatic power adjustment in response to ambient temperature
conditions and HVAC fan speed, along with self regulation of the heater temperature. In addition, the power draw of
the PTC heater can be matched automatically to the available electrical power level for all vehicle operating
conditions.
Features of the new PTC auxiliary heater models
Multiple heater stages are possible. Single-stage mini-heaters for decentralized heating can be produced just
as readily as powerful four- or five-stage heaters with electronic control
Twice the thermal safety and longer service life: In all high-output models, the switching elements and the PC
boards are thermally isolated from each other by a bus bar; in addition, an excess temperature cut-out is
incorporated into the PTC electronics
Shorter development times for customer-specific applications and reduced tooling manufacturing time
Withstands external electric shock
