Artist and promoter contract
This agreement is made on this_______ day of______, 2020, by and between________ and JR
Promotions.
JR Promotions desires to book live performances for artists that are ready to provide performance
at such bookings made by JR Promotions on the terms and conditions of this agreement.
Now, therefore, the parties agree as follow:
1. Location of performances: The performances shall be done by online streaming due to the
global pandemic and will be done on Instagram Live Stream.
2. Date and time of performances:
(a) Date: 23rd – 25th February 2021
(b) Performance time: 2pm
(c) Performance duration: 30 mins
(d) Soundcheck time: 1:30pm
(e) Soundcheck durations: 20mins
3. Artist Obligations
•The artist agrees to make them available upon reasonable notice from the promoter
for a limited number of promotional activities and/or personal appearances and/or
interviews for the purpose of promotion of the event.
• The artist agrees to maintain good communication and share important information
relating to the event the promoter within reasonable notice.
• The artist agrees to independently promote the event on their social media pages.
• The artist agrees to be at the place of soundcheck and at the place of live
performance at the scheduled time.
4. Promoter Obligations
• The promoter agrees to promote the show to the best of their capabilities and
resources.
• The promoter agrees to send the artist the technical specifications of the
performance withing thirty (30) days before the event.
• The promoter agrees to pay for and supply a well-functioning and high standard
quality P.A. system.
5. Fee and Payment
In consideration for the artists services under this agreement the promoter agrees to pay to
the artist a performance guaranteed fee of £100 as follows.
A non-refundable deposit of £50 to be paid to the artist, immediately upon signing of this
agreement and the balance of the guaranteed fee being £50 to be paid to the artist
immediately prior to the commencement of the performance. The artist shall have the right
to cancel this agreement if either the deposit or the balance is not paid in the times
specified.
6. Accounting
Any accounts relating to artist’s payment shall be transparent and accessible to artist and
artist manager upon request with reasonable prior notice.
7. Restrictions
The promoter shall not be entitled to record, video tape, reproduce, transmit or share any
part of the artists performance, nor shall they encourage and such behaviour, but on the
contrary refrain it.
8. Cancellation
If the artist shall cancel their performance, the advanced deposit shall be returned in full to
the promoter.
If the promoter shall cancel the show for any reason without at least a four (4) weeks’
notice, the promoter shall forfeit the advance deposit and shall pay the artist half of the
agreed guaranteed fee.
If the promoter shall cancel the show for any reason withing two (2) weeks of the agreed
performance date, the promoter shall pay the artist the agreed guaranteed fee in full.
9. Termination
The artist and promoter shall be entitled to terminate this agreement at any time upon the
any breach of any of the above stated responsibilities and/or clauses by any of the parties.
10. Miscellaneous
The law of the country in which it was signed shall govern this contract.
