Neighbors are the people who live near us.

In your opinion, what are the qualities of a good neighbor?


Use specific details and examples in your answer.

As social beings, humans will always face a condition which requires that them interact with other
human beings. As a consequence of living in a particular environment, it is most likely that we have a
neighbors living near us. In undergoing our daily activities, neighbors play a substantial role in our lives
so that we tend to distinguish what will be the characteristic of a good neighbor and the bad one. In this
respect, I am of the view that a good neighbor shall be supportive, tolerance as well as responsible.

First of all, it is always a pleasure to have a supportive and helpful neighbor. It is generally accepted that,
in our life, we oftentimes encounter an unexpected circumtances which leave us with no choice except
asking for help to our neighbor. In such an emergency situation, we can only rely on people living next to
us, in this regard, our neighbors. For instance, if our house sets on fire, our neighbors will be the one
who will provide us with helpful assistance. In this situation, we will usually be panic and have no idea as
to what we have to do in order to extinguish the fire; conversely, a helpful neighbor will give us an
assistance to face this kind of situation.

In furtherance, good neighbors shall be the one who tolerate people living next to them. Generally
speaking, people always consider their home as a peaceful place to temporarily leave from their
extremely stressful word. Accordingly, if our neighbor does not understand this situation, we will
experience another stressful situation in our rest. For instance, a neighbor who sets a loud music in the
middle of the night is not a good neighbor since we will face a diffuclty to relax after performing our
daily activities.

In addition to the above, another type of a nice neighbor is the responsible one. It is possible that a
neighbor accidentally hits or damages our house or car because of their negligence. As a responsible
person, they will inform us as to what actually happened and be responsible to their action. In contrary,
an unresponsible neighbor will pretend to know nothing and blame other person for an action they
actually committed in the first place.

To put it briefly, the abovementioned characteristics shall be possed by someone who want to be
mentioned as a good neighbor. However, as we also a neighbor to other persons, we also shall have the
above characteristics if we want other person to do such action reciprocally.
