This is likely to be the
most common type of
car you are going to
see on Pakistani roads.
A hatchback is a car
that is small with a
below 3000 mm length
with five doors (four
entry doors and the
boot lid) or at times
even three doors (two entry doors and the boot lid like the mini
cooper). The most recognizable characteristic is the rear door is hinged
at the top so that the door opens upwards to reveal the boot area. There
is no protruding boot space in the back.
A hatchback is a car body configuration with a rear door that swings
upward to provide access to a cargo area. Hatchbacks may feature fold-
down second row seating, where the interior can reconfigured to
prioritize passenger or cargo volume. Hatchbacks may feature two- or
three-box design.
While early examples of the body configuration can be traced to the 1
930s, the Merriam-Webster dictionary dates the term itself to 1970.
The hatchback body style has been marketed worldwide on cars
ranging in size from superminis to small family cars, as well as executive
cars and some sports cars.

2 Convertible Car:
A convertible, cabriolet or spyder/spider is a passenger car that can be
driven with or without a roof in place. The methods of retracting and
storing the roof vary between models. A convertible allows an open-air
driving experience, with the ability to provide a roof when required.
Potential drawbacks of convertibles are reduced structural rigidity
(requiring significant engineering and modification to counteract the
effects of removing a car's roof) and cargo space.

A sedan, or saloon, is a passenger car in a three-box configuration with

person enclosed box with windows and carried by porters. Variations of
the sedan style of body include: close-coupled sedan, club sedan,

sedanet/sedanette.

4 Small SUVs

A compact sport utility vehicle or compact SUV is a class of small sport


utility vehicles that is larger than mini SUVs, but smaller than mid-size
SUVs. However, there is no official definition of the size or dimensions
for this market segment.
Moreover, some manufacturers have marketed the same model name
on different sized vehicles over time. The most common distinction
between versions of crossover automobiles and compact-sized SUVs is
that the first is based on a car-based uni body platform, while an SUV
uses the body-onframe chassis commonly used on trucks. However,
manufacturers and common usage has blurred the two
terms. Many recent vehicles labelled as compact SUVs are technically
compact crossovers and are built on the platform of a compact/C-
segment passenger car.

A sport utility vehicle or SUV is a car classification that combines elements of


roadgoing passenger cars with features from off-road vehicles, such as raised
ground clearance and four-wheel drive.
There is no commonly agreedupon definition of an SUV, and usage of the term
varies between
countries. Some definitions claim that an SUV must be built on a light truck
chassis; however, broader definitions consider any vehicle with off-road design
features to be an SUV. A crossover
SUV is often defined as an SUV built with a unibody construction (as with
passenger cars), however, in many cases, crossovers are simply referred to as
SUVs. In some countries — such as the
United States — SUVs have been classified as "light trucks", resulting in more
lenient regulations compared to passenger cars.
