ACTIVITY #5

We all groan and suffer about the loss of the quality of life through the destruction of our ecology,
and yet each one of us, in our own little comfortable ways, contributes daily to that destruction. It's time now
to awaken in each one of us the respect and attention our beloved Mother Earth deserves.
Last Saturday, August 24, 2019, the students under the College of Business Education conducted
a clean-up drive inside the campus of University of La Salette Inc. We were able to go and meet up on our
meeting place before our call time, 8:00 am. Even though, Sir Baccay, our NSTP Instructor, were not
around, we still brought with us the cleaning materials that we will be using later. We started cleaning our
assigned area, which is the two (2) plant box in front of Miraculous Building. We noticed that there’s a lot of
garbages that were scattered inside the plant box. I also try to sweep all the dry leaves inside of the plant
box, and removed all the excess grasses. I didn’t stop sweeping unless I can see more trashes and dry
leaves.
Even if it’s very tiring, we still manage to smile because we believe that in this simple way we can
do and we can contribute in terms of helping our environment to maintain its cleanliness.  Every waste that
we throw must be segregated so that somehow we can contribute to the prevention of climate change and
global warming. The experience was great and we really had fun cleaning not only to our assigned areas
but also in our surroundings. This activity helped us to realize the value and/or importance of our
environment to us. We also built friendship within our group during the activity.
After cleaning, we decided to go to the canteen to take a break. And after the break, Sir Ronnie S.
Viray, our NSTP Coordinator called our attentions that it’s already time and we need to go back to the field
for some announcements and checking of attendance.
