INGREDIENTS

1 1/3 cups all-purpose


flour
1 tablespoon powdered
sugar
1/8 teaspoon salt
7 tablespoons cold butter
cubed
1 egg yolk
3 tablespoons cold water

INSTRUCTIONS
In a bowl mix together you dry ingredients: flour,
powdered sugar, and salt.

Add your cold cubed butter to your dry ingredients.


Take a pastry blender or your fingers if you don't have
one to cut into the butter. You will do so until the
mixture is well incorporated and a crumble like texture.

Mix together your water and egg yolk. Then add it to


your dry ingredients. Use your hands to combined all of
those ingredients. The mixture will turn into a dough
ball. If the dough is too dry add a little more water, but
do so very sparingly.

Wrap your dough ball in plastic wrap and let it chill in


the fridge for 30 minutes. Once the 30 minutes is up
your dough is ready to go! Make sure to flour your
surface before you roll your dough out. Use your
favorite pie filling and bake at 400 F for 35-40
minutes. Enjoy!
