Abstract
Online Shopping System refers to web based system that delivers speed,
convenience, flexibility, security and service excellence. This project automates
Online Shopping System. The web application is developed as two tire architecture:
HTML, CSS and JAVASCRIPT as Front-End GUI and PHP Server Side
Programming Language based on SLIM framework and MySQL Server as Back-End
Database.
This overall activities and information of the shopping systems are managed in
the database and the front end is developed which displays all the content of the
database which are relevant to the consumers and merchants like products, orders,
personal details etc. website also provides other information related to the online
shopping system.
It allows interaction between consumers and administration. This application
gracefully handles all functions of online shopping or e-commerce. The project has
been planned to be having the view of distributed architecture, with centralized
storage of the database. The application for the storage of the data has been planned.
Using the constructs of MySql server and all the user interfaces have been designed
using the MDBOOTSTRAP CSS framework. And as server side programming is php
based on Slim framework. Slime framework is the mini framework of php server side
programming language. The database connectivity is planned using the “SQL
Connection” methodology.
The other part of this project is website that is integrated with the backend
application. The information provide from the backend application is displayed in
website and vice-versa. We have developed a content management system interface
within the website to manage the contents like product, brands, adding, editing, listing
etc. with an ease without the need of modification.
