1. THE NATIONAL MONUMENT’S MOTIF

2. BIRD HONG MOTIF

Motif of bird hong also entered in characteristic of batik betawi as symbol of

happiness. This motif has had a lot of influence from Chinese and Arabic

culture. The Hong Bird motif is usually dominated by red and yellow.

3. PENGANTEN BETAWI MOTIF (BETAWI’s BRIDE)

This motif depicts the Betawi groom and bride clothing which is a mixture

of Chinese and Arabic cultures. In this motif there are various colors

available, both bright and cheerful

4. SALAKNAGARA MOTIF

 Salakanagara batik motif is a batik that raised the first themed motifs in the

kingdom of Betawi land founded by Aki Tirem in 130 AD. Salakanegara

name associated with the belief of the people at that time who think that the

mountain has the power and the mountain is Mount Salak located in Bogor.

5. NUSAKELAPA MOTIF

Nusa Kelapa has design idea from Peta Ceila which made in 1482-1521

when government of King Siliwangi. The name of Nusa Kelapa was taken

by the ancestors of Betawi society at that time, to be a Betawi batik motif.

6. CILIWUNG MOTIF

Ciliwung motif based on the idea of human civilization that comes from the

Ciliwung Riverside. It is said that the Portuguese and Dutch rulers were so

interested in the Ciliwung River that they interested to taking control of this

river.

7. LORENG ONDEL – ONDEL MOTIF

This motif contains hope for the wearer to get a better life and away from the

bad luck. Usually this type of batik Betawi motif is used in large events

Betawi customs.
