controls and procedures for the operation, maintenance and support of equipment. Personnel are to carry out any
action required by this instruction in accordance with EMEI General A 001.

7. Definition. Inspection is a careful and critical
scrutiny of an equipment to ascertain the standards of
maintenance, repair and adjustments necessary,
modification state, and accuracy of equipment records
or documents, to ensure the equipment will function in a
safe and efficient manner. The use of tools and gauges
should be limited to those on unit entitlements.
8. Paras 12 to 22 detail the standards that are to
apply when the weapon is inspected for useability. Figure 1 – Recognised Proof Marks
