The Text
Farmer Jefferson has got a big farm and he lives with his wife in a little
house in the middle of the farm. In front of the house, there is a big garden.
There are vegetables and fruit trees there. Behind the house, there are
many animals : cows, goats, hens, rabbits. There is also a nice dog. Its name is Neddy.
Farmer Jefferson usually gets up early and works all day. Market day is on Sunday.
Jefferson gets up at 5 o’ clock and goes to the market to sell eggs, fruit and vegetables.
Now, he is milking the cows and his wife is helping him. Their friend Gordon is staying
with them today. Farmer Jefferson likes to invite his friends to his farm and to show them his
farm and his animals. He is proud of his farm.
