First Baptist Church
Discover the Love of Christ
Frostproof, Florida April 2021
Dear Church,
It was a year ago that I was facing surgery and Covid-19 was
underway. Needless to say, we have all been personally challenged
with the effects of the pandemic and the church has felt it as well.
Naturally attendance has been down and so has financial giving. We
are not yet sure what the “new normal” will look like. But it is
encouraging to see that, according to the latest figures for Polk
County, the virus appears to be on the decline. We pray that it
continues. But we still want to proceed with caution.
We are planning on having an exciting Easter morning for children.
There will be fun and games, including an egg hunt. We are also
making plans for Vacation Bible School for the week of June 6-11,
5:30-7:30 p.m. If you are available, would you please let us know.
Jessica Swisegood has graciously agreed to serve as the Vacation
Bible School Director. Inside this issue:

Build A Culture
Of Outreach
And Prayer
Pray and Go is a simple, on-going strategy to help us achieve the Biblical command of doing just that,
pray and go. We want to let the community know that First Baptist Church loves, cares, and prays for
them. We will pray a short, silent prayer and leave a door hanger with church information. No door
knocking is needed.
Training sessions will be at 4:30 p.m. on the following Sundays:
• April 11, 2021 in the Fellowship Hall
• April 18, 2021 in the Fellowship Hall
• April 25, 2021 in the Fellowship Hall
Training sessions topics include:
• The Bible and Pray and Go
• Key Elements
• Keys to a successful Pray and Go
The kick-off day will be on Monday, May 10, 2021 at 6:30 p.m. However, you may participate any day or
time of the week.
Changing your church culture through the power of prayer.
Christ’s plan was to provide hope for the nations and send out his disciples. Pray & Go is a tool that will
help disciples that you lead move beyond the walls of the church. Whether your church is downtown, in
the suburbs, or in small town rural setting you will see gospel impact in your church and in your
community.
