Engagement of Graduate & Technicians Apprentices under National Apprentice Training Scheme (NATS)

Applications are invited by Rifle Factory, Ishapore, Ministry of Defence, Government of India from the candidates having
qualification of B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical & Electronics/Instrumentation/Computer/IT Engineering or Diploma in
Mechanical, Electrical & Electronics/Instrumentation/Computer/IT Engineering for enrolment as trainee Apprentices under
National Apprentice Training Scheme (NATS) under Ministry of Human Resource Development, GOI. Preference will be given to
those who resides North 24 Parganas, Nadia, Kolkata & Hooghly Districts of West Bengal. The details are as under –

a. Candidates who have passed out within the last 3 years will be considered.
b. When the prescribed number of persons belonging to the Schedule Castes (SC) is not available, it will be filled by
Scheduled Tribes Candidates (ST). For Scheduled Tribes slots in case of Scheduled Tribes Candidates are not available,
they will be filled by Schedule Castes (SC) candidates. If the prescribed training slots for SC/ST so lying unfilled will be
filled by persons not belonging Schedule Castes (SC) or Scheduled Tribes (ST) i.e. unreserved candidates. Similarly, the
seats remaining unfilled by Other Backward Classes (OBC) candidates will be filled by candidates of Scheduled Castes or
the Scheduled Tribes or Unreserved candidates. The seats remaining unfilled by unreserved candidates will be filled by
candidates of Other Backward Classes (OBC) or Schedule Castes (SC) or Scheduled Tribes (ST). This shall be as per
merit.
THE NOTIFICATION IS RELATED WITH ENROLMENT OF TRAINEE APPRENTICES FOR TRAINING IT IS NOT
A RECRUITMENT NOTIFICATION.
1) Eligibility conditions:
a. Candidates belonging to the districts of North 24 Parganas, Nadia, Kolkata & Hooghly Districts of West Bengal will be given
preference for enrolment for training
b. Qualification : Candidates should have the educational qualifications indicated for notified training in the notification from
recognized Institutions /Universities/Boards as on the closing date of the application. The details of the academic qualifications
are as under. Those awaiting results of the final examination of the prescribed educational qualification SHOULD NOT apply.
Full time regular Bechelor’s Degree in Engineering or technology or regular B.E./B.Tech or full time regular Diploma in the
listed fields from recognized Board/University. The total maximum marks and total marks obtained for all Years/Semesters will
be summed up to arrive at an aggregate percentage. No rounding off will be done and no weightage will be given in any
particulars Semester/Year.
i. B.E./B.Tech (Mechanical): Four years Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical/Industrial/Production Engineering from a Recognized
University/Institute approved
ii. B.E/B.Tech (Electrical): Four years Bachelor degree in (i) Electrical/Electronics & Power Engineering or (ii) Combination of
any sub stream of Basics streams of Electrical from recognized University/Institute approved by AICTE.
iii. B.E/B.Tech Instrumentation/Electronics/Computer/1.T.): Four years Bachelor's Degree in Instrumentation/
Electronics/Electrical & Electronics/ Electronics & Communication/Telecommunication/Computer Science/1.T. Engg. from a
Recognized University/Institute approved by AICTE.
iv. Diploma (Mechanical): Full time regular Diploma in Mechanical/ Industrial/ Automobile / Production Engineering from
University/Institute recognized by AICTE.
v. Diploma (Electrical): Full time regular Diploma in Electrical/Electronics & Power Engineering or a combination of any sub
stream of basic streams of Electrical/Electronics from recognized University/Institute.
vi. Diploma (Instrumentation/Electronics/Computer/I.T.: Full time regular Diploma in Instrumentation / Electronics/Electrical
& Electronics/ Electronics & Communication/Telecommunication/Computer recognized University/Institute.
No additional weightage will be given to the candidate who possesses higher qualification along with above minimum essential
qualification.
a) Physical Fitness: As per the Apprentice Act, 1961, Apprenticeship Rules 1992 and amendments thereof.
b) Medical Examination: After successful document verification of the provisionally selected candidates, medical
examination will be conducted by the Rifle Factory, Ishapore. Date, Time and Venue of Medical Examination will be
communicated separately by this factory only. Candidates passed in medical examination will be considered for further
process of engagement.
c) Rejection of Candidature:
i) Only a single application will be entertained. Candidature in respect of multiple applications will be rejected out
rightly, without assigning any notice to such candidates.
ii) Application without photo, photo with cap, wearing goggles, disfigured, unrecognizable or unclear or unidentifiable
photo. Applications with unclear Signature or documents submitted.
iii) Candidates who have already undergone or currently undergoing Apprenticeship training under National Apprentice Training
Scheme in any Government/Public Sector Undertaking/Private Industrial Organization is not eligible to apply.
d) The candidates who want to avail the benefit of reservation of SC/ST must produce his/her Caste certificate in Central
Government format issued by appropriate authority at the time of Document Verification. Similarly, the candidates who want to
avail the benefit of reservation of OBC must produce Caste Certificate and Non-Creamy Layer Certificate issued on or after
01/04/2020 on Central Government format by appropriate authority at the time of Document Verification. A copy of all the
documents should be enclosed along with the application.
2) Stipend: Stipend shall be payable as per following:-
For Graduate Engineers- Rs.9000/- p.m.
For Diploma Holders -Rs.8000/- p.m.
3) Mode of selection for training:
a. The candidates will be selected on the basis of the marks obtained at the time of acquiring of BE/B.Tech or Diploma in relevant
field.
b. In case of two candidates having the same marks, the candidates with older age shall be preferred. In case the date of birth is also
same, then the candidate who passed matriculation examination earlier shall be considered first.
c. Eligibility of the candidates will be considered only on the strength of the information furnished in the application. If at any
stage, it is found that any information furnished by the candidate in his/her application is false/incorrect or the candidate has
suppressed any relevant information or the candidate does not satisfy the eligibility criteria for the post, his/her candidature will be
rejected forthwith.
4) Requirements:
The candidates should keep ready the following particulars at the time of registration in NATS Portal (www.mhrdnats.gov.in) -
a. Active Email ID and Mobile Number.
b. Aadhar Card.
c. Enrolment/Registration details of Apprenticeship portal (if any).
5) How to Apply:
Candidates are advised to enroll successfully at www.mhrdnats.gov.in and APPLY FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT
“RIFLE FACTORY, ISHAPORE” AFTER LOGGING IN NATS PORTAL.
OPENING DATE OF APPLICATION : 15- 03-2021
CLOSING DATE IS OF APPLICATION : 30-04-2021.
6) Required Documents (copies) to be enclosed along with application:
a. Self attested copies of certificate in proof of qualification (As per the qualification specified in instruction sheet)
b. Self attested of Proof of date of birth.
c. Self attested copy of Adhaar Card
d. Proof of Adhaar Linked Bank Account in his own name.
e. Attested copy of cast certificate in the format required for Central Govt. Employment as enclosed (in case of SC/ST/OBC)
f. OBC-NCL (Non-creamy Layer) certificate issued by Tehsildar as per format indicated in the Annexure in the press notification.
g. Two self attested passport size photograph.
7. Last Date of Receipt of Application one month from the date of publication, no application will be entertained after
closing date.
The candidate is not eligible for any TA/DA/Boarding or Lodging expenses incurred during the period of training. Rifle Factory,
Ishapore will not provide any financial assistance towards transportation. The candidate, who is enrolled as an Apprentice
Trainee for training in Rifle Factory, Ishapore, is required to possess an Aadhar linked Bank Account in his own name and PAN
Card to receive stipend.
No Hostel accommodation will be provided. Selected candidates will have to make their own arrangement
during their training and they will be released on completion of the training.
