Psycholinguistic Correlates of Progress in Literature at Russian Vocational Training School: A Snap Shot From Selected Paper

This article summarizes and reviews a journal article about a study on the psycholinguistic correlates of progress in literature among students at a Russian vocational training school. The original study examined the relationship between students' personalities and their ability to acquire skills in literature, English, Russian, and Bashkir. It involved collecting data from 100 male students over two years using six measurement methods. The present article analyzes the original study to describe its findings on the effect of literacy on student learning and examine the strengths and weaknesses of how it was presented in the journal.
