1.1. State the Vision and Mission of the Department & Institution
VISION
“To build a strong learning environment in the field of Computer Science and Engineering
in technical education that responds to the challenges of the century.”
MISSION
To produce computer science diploma graduates who are trained in design, implementation,
testing and maintenance of computational systems through competitive curriculum in
collaboration with industry and other organizations.
Providing state of art facilities for enhancing skills in the field of computer science and
engineering.
To encourage ethical values and leadership abilities in the minds of students so as to work
towards the growth of the society.
PEO1: Pursue a successful career in the field of Computer Science & Engineering
or a related field utilizing his/her education and contribute to the profession
as an excellent employee, or as an entrepreneur.
PEO2: Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals,
and an engineering specialization to the solution of complex engineering
problems.
PEO 3: Identify and engage in inquiry, develop new innovations and products.
PEO4: Identify, formulate, research literature, and analyze complex engineering
problems reaching substantiated conclusions using first principles of
mathematics, natural sciences, and engineering sciences.
1.3. Indicate where and how the vision, mission and PEO’s are published and disseminated
among stakeholders
Meeting was conducted in the Department with the Stake holders and academia. Their
opinions were sought in preparing Vision and Mission.
After arriving at the final conclusion it was displayed in class rooms, labs, Notice boards of
the department. By taking their consent, Vision, Missions Statements and PEO’s were finalized and
the same disseminated by display and printing on the Lab Records and I.A Blue books.
1.4. State the process for defining the Vision and Mission of the Department, and PEOs of the
program
Final year students, Staff of the department and Stake holders was asked to prepare SWOT
Analysis of the department. Collective opinions of the SWOT Analysis were taken based on which
Vision, Missions Statements and PEO’s were defined.

1. Module wise tests are conducted to identify weak students at the beginning of the
course. Tutorial classes and confidence building measures are provided to such
students.
2. At the end of the semester, student feedback is taken for the quality of the course
contents along with the course delivery specific for a faculty member. This enables
the Department to make proactive changes to successive courses and functioning
methods of the faculty.

An effective performance appraisal system for Faculty is exit as per KCSR rules.
Each faculty should self evaluation himself about his contribution towards academics,
results of the courses he/she handled and their contribution for institutional performance.
They also expected to provide services to community through CDTP activities/Industry by
establishing the linkages. The confidential reports are finally reviewed by Principal and
finally forwarded to director, department of technical education
