1. Lift up the belt conveyor to support positioned.
2. Pull bell conveyor by using sling from winchi along track pully
3. When finished pull of belt conveyor one rool, hold back winchi to do
splicing of second a belt conveyor.

B. Operation for Splicing Belt

1. Fix the belt on the installation
2. Take the idler roller at the place of the splice.
3. Mount the under plates of the curring press.
4. Draw cutting lines as shon on the photograph respect splice length:
L + 50 mm (on top)
L + 20 mm (on bottom)
5. Strip-of all rubberedges over width of 50 mm
6. Strip-of bottom cover; top cover and weft cords
width up to 500mm can be stripped by using adopted clamps and
a ratchet puller tool.
7. Clean the stripped surfaces with a revolving steel brush. The steel cords
must always remain rubber covered as to assure adhesion with the rubber
layers.
8. For fonger splices draw the finger lines as indicated, start thus drawing in
the center line of the stipped surface moving to each side of the belt.
9. cut the finger using a steel plate cutter or the single cords steps with
a cable shear.
10. Cut the cord at the end of each finger with a cable shear
11. Bring both end together clamp both belt ends in this position
12. Remove the finger beck to each side, put the bottom cover on
a vulcanistation cloth.

skin rubber above the fingers.
17. Apply thin sheet of skin rubber (0,5 mm)above the belt carcass.
18. Cut the required quantity of insertion strip to the exact length using the
electrical plate cutter or the metal shear. (Insertion length = Belt width-
edges width)
19. Clean both sides of the insertion strip with solvent and apply rubber
solution.
20. Put the insertion strips adjacently on the belt carcass over the required
splice length “L”.
21. Aplly the required layers of cover compound on the splice, so as to obtain
a thickness of 0,5 to 1 mm thicker then the original belt thickness.
22. Protect bolth sides of the splice by mean of a cloth, as large as the press
plate mount the upper plate of the curing press. Switch on preassure and
heating devices.
