Format: Business report and presentation.
Deadline: Will be informed in class.

3. Completed ‘Group Assignment Form’ and compiled together with report

Objectives
To think as a unit/team and to have the ability to work together toward a common vision.
This activity provides individuals and the teams to apply a variety of interpersonal skills,
including communication, leadership and motivational skills in order to promote trust and
teamwork.

Learning Outcomes:
At the end of this assessment task, students should be able to:
LO1 Apply organisational behaviour theories to identify and analyze issues and problems
and solve organisational case studies. (Cognitive, Level 3)
LO2 Generate information to make decisions and solve problems using organisational
behaviour concepts, theories and principles. (Affective, Level 2)
LO3 Analyze the impact of individuals and team behavior on organisational
productivity. (Cognitive, Level 4)
LO4 Demonstrate working effectively individually and groups. (Affective, Level 3)
Your task:

1. The report requires you to select any OB related topics or issues of concern in a real
organisation. The purpose of the report is to give your team an opportunity to apply
what have been learned in the course to analyze problems in the context of
Organisational Behavioural aspects in an organisation. Some topics you might want
to cover include (but not limited to – again, the topic can be anything) issues of cross-
cultural issues, decision making, conflict resolution, motivation, performance and
leadership. Please do not attempt to cover too many issues. It won’t be very feasible.
You may want to pick two or maybe three issues that most interest you.

2. In addition, the group needs to come up with highly creative solutions. It should not
be based on the text or other solutions that are commonly known. The solutions should
reflect your creative and innovative thinking.

3. The report should be supplemented with data from the media, literature and other
secondary sources as well.

4. Each group is required to submit a full written report. The report should contain the
following items:

▪ Word length: 3500-5000 words (does not include executive summary, appendices, tables, list
of references).

▪ Reference ALL your work and include a list of references (the list of references is not included
in the word count).
▪ Students should conduct adequate research to provide a comprehensive analysis of the
organization and to ensure that the recommendations are sound and plausible. At least 10
different sources should be consulted from a variety of forms i.e. books, journal articles,
conference papers, theses, WWW, annual reports, personal communication, magazines,
newspapers etc.).
▪ Plagiarized work will receive NO marks.
▪ Complete the Group Assignment Form and attach it at the front of your assignment.
▪ Date of submission latest by 4pm 23 May 2021.
