Unit 9: The changing family
1. Is it common in your country for several generations of a family to live together in
the same home? Why, why not?
Yes. It is common in my country for several generations of a family to live together in the
same home. Because nowadays young generations want to connect other people and
share daily expenses. Moreover, it is helpful to study the experience lives of adults.
2. Are people in your country having more or fewer children these days? Why?
In my country, nowadays people have fewer children. Because the Government wants
people to have small families is that they will then be able to have more money to spend to
live more comfortable and easier lives.
3. Are stay-at-home dads common in your country? Why, or why not?
No, Dad’s stay at home is not common in my country. Because my father said that “ the
man built the house of a woman to build a home”.My father is a man, who hard working and
always busy with work. He seldom spends time play with me.
4. In what way is the transition from childhood to adulthood challenging?
in my opinion, the transition from childhood to adulthood is getting used to independence to
do something. I have to change many habits and study skills to make a good decision for
my life.
5. How do you behave in the presence of someone you dislike?
I think I will ignore and try to polite to them in a conversation. Or in another case, I must
communicate with the people I dislike I will calm down and take a deep breath.
6. How do you think the sole survivor of a plane crash would feel?
I think people are very lucky if they fight alone and without friends and family. Other
things they will feel surprised and disappointed when seeing the bad thing.
7. What is the number one priority in your life now?
The number one priority in my life studies in my school. I spend all my time studying and
improve my score. My teacher and my friend support me in how to study smart and make a
perfect plan.
8. Is maternity leave common in your country? How much time off work do women
usually take?
Maternity leave is common in my country if a female employee was pregnant. In May
2013, Vietnam increased the duration of maternity leave for female employees to six
months as opposed to four months of maternity leave earlier. If a female employee has
more than one child, she is also entitled to an extra 30 days for each additional child.
9. Have you heard of the phrase maternal instinct? What do you think it means?
I have heard the phrase maternal instinct. According to the internet maternal instinct is
intended to refer to the sense of gravitational pull a mother feels to her child and her
child's welfare.
10. What is an activity that rejuvenates you?
The activity that rejuvenates me does exercise and skincare every day. Having a healthy
body and good skin helps me confident to work hard and more energy to do a meaningful
thing.
11. Do you think only children have different personalities than kids with siblings?
Give an example.
Yes, in my opinion, only children have a different personality than kids with siblings. only
children have higher levels of independence, character, and intelligence and their
parents have more time and money for education well. The kids who have a sibling will
feel not confident because they are compared personalities and ability to think to other
siblings.
Unit 10: The future of education
1. How do you think technology affects the way we study or learn?
Technology has become such a significant part of our everyday lives.
The technology change behavior of a student when they were studying. they are
excited to study and don’t need to go to school. Can study everywhere it is useful
and more effective to understand knowledge.
2. Do you think the Internet is a useful tool for studying? Why, or why not?
I agree with this idea, the internet is a useful tool for study. Because the Internet is a
great source of information. Its value as a resource is immeasurable. Research can
be easily planned and implemented for the benefit of both students and educators.
3. Are there some subjects that might be more difficult to study online than
others? Which ones, and why?
Some subjects might be more difficult to study online than others such as
mathematic, chemical, and exercises. Because These subjects require experiment of
the student.
4. Do you think online learning will eventually replace traditional schools and
classrooms?
No, I don’t agree. when the student goes to school brings them motivation and easy
to connect with other students. Besides that, having more active will develop health
and brain.
