Air cargo is considered to be a transportation of goods by aircraft.
It may include
anything varying from mail to freight.[ CITATION MBA \l 1033 ] The cargo can be travelled in one
of five different types of services which are Airmail services, Express air services, scheduled
airfreight services, charter airfreight services and leased airfreight services. [ CITATION Pie18 \l
1033 ]
Airmail services is the origin of air freight and is considered to be a small percent of all
air shipments. Express air services assure a pre-determined date of delivery which is called time-
defined delivery.[ CITATION Pie18 \l 1033 ] Delivery is usually the next day or overnight and some
examples are FedEx, UPS, or DHL. Scheduled Airfreight services transports air freight by
airlines that utilize regular schedules in the middle of two cities. The airline utilizes a passenger
aircraft where the cargo is put either in the belly or the freighter of the airplane. Charter
Airfreight service does not work on regular schedules and is very dependent on demand. This
service is in charge of emergency shipments of larger items and seasonal items. Leased
Airfreight service travel in aircrafts that are leased, and are used to reduce capital costs, and

There are four types of aircrafts that are used in air cargo which are Passenger aircrafts,
Freighters, Combi Aircrafts, and Quick- Change Aircrafts. Passenger aircrafts are fabricated to
transport passengers on the main deck. This aircraft carries freight in the lower deck also
considered the belly. Freighter aircrafts are also known as cargo aircrafts. Cargo aircrafts carry
the cargo on its main deck. In this kind of aircraft the goods can be loaded through its nose.
[ CITATION Kar \l 1033 ] Combi aircrafts are used to carry passengers and cargo on the main deck
of the aircraft. This is done by dividing the cabin in half. One half for the passengers and the
other for the cargo.[ CITATION Inf \l 1033 ] Quick- change aircrafts use seat pallets on the main
deck for an easily swap. The aircraft can go from a passenger transport to a freight transport.

I think the demand for air cargo will increase over the next three years for many reasons.
Air cargo has many advantages and makes transportation more reliable. For one thing air cargo is
considered to be one the fastest methods of shipping. [ CITATION Jar19 \l 1033 ] Air cargo allows
you to send cargo just about anywhere you want. It also gives you the option to keep an eye on
the status of your cargo. You are given a tracking number in which gives you the status of the
cargo from its departure to its arrival. Air cargo also saves you a lot money in different ways.
Not only do you save money because it requires less packaging, it also has lower insurance
premiums. The insurance is lower due to the fact that the transportation is short. Air cargo also
has the highest level of security and for this reason the risk of theft or damage is very low.
