Pyramidal Structure of a Plot
Climax is the part where the problem or the
conflict is the highest peak or the conflict is the
highest peak of interest.(result of crisis)
1. Exposition(beginning)
- introduces the line, place, main characters and
setting. The situation before the action starts.
As we can observe in some stories, it always Yes sir!.
starts with the introduction of characters, place,
setting, and that is exposition. For example, "

man..." That is exposition.
2. Complication (rising action)
- unfolds the problem and struggles that would
be encountered by the main characters leading to
crisis.
This is the start of problems that the character
may encounter. Students raise their hands.
3. Climax
Can you read the definition of climax Ms Tapales? Resolution is often called as ending. It contains
the last part or the last statement about the
story.

It is where the characters is put in the highest
moment of interest with great emotion. For
example in the novel Romeo and Juliet, the
climax in that story is when Romeo kills Tybalt. At
this point, Romeo is doomed and play begins the Yes sir!

- is the beginning of the entangled knots, or the
part that shows a conflict or a problem is solved,
