Materials needed:
Music background

Procedure:

A.S Performing: Practice and performing Slippery Fish


Listening: Slippery Fish in Hawaii by Charlotte Diamond
Responding: Listening for clues of when to add movement of each
animal.

1. Feet on letter on the carpet


2. Join me as I go into the deep blue sea! Who wants to go?
a. T shows movements of each animal or fish. (fish, octopus, tuna
fish, whale)
3. Teacher sings words and does movements.
4. Students follow teacher.
5. Students sit on letter.
6. Read: Slippery Fish in Hawaii by Charlotte Diamond
7. Students stand on letter
8. Teacher and student sing and do movements.
9. Repeat 2 times.
10. Now it is the students turn without the teacher.

Closure:
Raise your hand if you like the ocean?
What animal or fish did you like from the song?

Educational Objective:
By the end of this lesson students will have learned how to sing and do
movements to Slippery Fish.
Students will practice good listening skills when reading a book. As well as,
how to add movements to singing.
